i found her phone number and i talked to her about my problem.
she said that there is a phone number for counselling in every city.
she gave me that phone number.
thank you very much rliz.
Darn. Deep twlight blue is my favorite color...no wonder I find myself depressed. :(
I do think colors are important. Personally I'm not fond of red. I'm also not fond of pink... Pink is supposed to be a calming color, but I don't find it a color I enjoy...
As far as color and mood I did read stuff about it. i forgot where it was now, but I can google right now and see what pops up:

thank you very much.

you helped me and i found a new way.i remembered my room-mate in the university.
now she is a psychiatrist and lives in the other city.
i will find her phone number through the medical council.
i will talk with her about my problem.
i live in ahwaz.
thank you for your kindness.
What is your medical care like, are you getting treatment there. I mean for the depression and anxiety? Is there community care, like a nurse or somebody who can help you go to your appointments?
It is sad to think of you suffering such pain.
i have 4 sisters and 3 brothers.they are married.they don't support anybody.
i am seventh member of family.
my sisters and brothers have never experienced depression and anxiety.
i can't describe my problems for them.because they blame me.
i have just one friend.she is married and lives in the other city.
i fear of a new thing that i haven't experienced it already for example a new medication, mri and so on.
i have never had this problem already.i think that this is a phobia.
i live in iran and my language is persian.
i have seen a neurosurgeon five years ago.i should do a few tests such as mri for evaluation of intervertebral discs.but i couldn't do any test.because i am suffering from depression and anxiety and i rarely leave home.
i use of cervical collar and i take ibuprofen for relief of pain.
Speaking of colour and how it can effect our state of mind; I read an interesting study that was done a few years ago regarding food intake that shows how the actual colour of our dinner plate effects how much we eat.
It suggested that by utilizing different colour plates that people (without even knowing it) were eating more or less at each meal depending on the colour of the plate that the food was served on.
I don't recalll which colours acted as appitite stimulants and which did not.
This doesn't mean I think that colour can have any real serious effect on severe depressive dissorder, but it may play a very small roll in slight mood variations for people with mild forms of clinical depression.
painting has been only hobby in my life.
now i can't paint due to sever pain in my neck.
anyway i want to find a scientific basis for everything.
This thread now has me thinking.....
I think colour is a personal choice. Some people may not like brown and therefore not feel particularly buoyed by it, whereas they make like the colour purple.
I'm not sure that the colour of our clothing will impact on our mood but it may well be a reflection of the mood we were in when choosing the clothes in the first place.
Large areas of colours, such as walls - as rliz and therese83 have said, there have been studies relating to them having an effect on mood -
I personally think that colour alone is not the issue it is the context in which it is in that makes the difference, ie, a happy colour such as yellow/orange (which would remind us of sunshine), would not help your mood if you were in an enclosed space with no windows and nothing but the colour to look at - although, if you were meditating this may not be relevant!
So I suppose really what I am saying is, I agree with Therese not to be closed off to new ideas but I am also saying that our mood is affected by a combination of factors and not one single one.
If wearing bright colours, painting your walls nice and bright makes you happy then do it.
Dont be so closed off to new ideas Lina. Of course colours affect you. Of course! Just go and stare at the colour light blue or red and you can feel a change.
I am a painter and I have to agree with this.
I have all my house painted white, why, why didnt I paint it brown? I would be miserable of course if it was brown. Most people know this intuitively.
True
i don't live in your country and i don't know mcdonald and other restaurants.
my language isn't english and i can't describe more about this article.
i could find my answer through the internet, but
unfortunately i have a pain in my neck and i have a low back pain.so i can't sit on chair for hours.
I should really be offline but I thought I should pop on quickly just to let you know that no question is meaningless - my answer was flippant, that doesn't mean that what you were asking isn't relevant.
I hope I haven't offended you, my sense of humour is not always the same as other peoples. Apologies if I have.
i am sorry.
i think that my question was meaningless.
In other words if we all walk round looking like a bowl of fruit people will laugh, which in turn will make us laugh?????!!!!
Sorry, don't mean to be flippant, but not really a big believer in it. Red is supposed to cause anger blah blah -
Others may disagree with me totally! :-)
oops, am wearing blue jeans and a dark blue t-shirt today!!!!!!!!! sorry, just felt i must make a comment to move this thread up!!
