I quit smoking last October. And I hear u. It's tough to not smoke even though it's a nasty habit it is a bad little monkey. What can help is to suck on blow pops, chew gum, chomp celery etc. you got to replace the bad habits with good ones. And it is very hard to do. I think a lot of smoking or drinking or over eating is an attempt to distract us frm all the things we run from or don't want to face. Take some time to feel. No cake. No cigarette. Just you and your feelings. Just a thought. Hope I've helped.
I use to smoke but now i have quit. I found carrying nicorette lozenges or the mints really helped me when I couldn't smoke.
You have to find a balance.
Have you tried the patch? What about sugar free hard candy or gum? It gives you something do other than eat.
