dose increase needed or side effect with zoloft

Hi. I started zoloft Jan 16 at a 12.5 dose. worked up to 37.5mg in five weeks. Stayed at that dose for three weeks. Had lots of sided effects at first, increased anxiety, nausea etc. Just as I thought I was doing better, I started having panic at night. Dr upped my dose again to 50mg. Had side effects all over again.  Is this normal? I am now eight weeks in. Not having panic but underlying anxiety still there, for about half of the day, and some nausea. Not sure if this is side effects still? Been on 50 for three weeks. Should I talk to dr about going up to 67.5? Is it too soon? Will I have side effects again like when I went up to 50 mg? I want to stick this out, but it has been eight weeks of agony.

Go back to your Dr & see if Zoloft is really right for you. 8 weeks in agony?
That's not good to hear. When I've tolerated a drug well it has been effective at different doses.  What else are you doing for mental health? Talk therapy?
