drug combination

Can I take both 20mg fluoxetine and 25 mg amytriptyline to help with my depression.
I'"ve taken both seperately without any problems I had an ECG when I was taking 100mg amytriptyline and no probelms
excerpt hypertension with the amytriptyline (I take 10mg of atenolol daily and have done for some time)  
On Fluoxetine my BP is 120/80  -
just wondered if I can combine safely the drugs smller dosage for my dysthmia.
I have a BP monitor and can continue to monitor my Blood pressure
any side effects or known dangers of combining both 20mg fluoxetine and 25 mg amytriptyline to help with my depression ?

Never play around with these types of medications, talk to your doctor about it.

It would be best to run this past your doctor.

You could also try the drug interaction tool here at medhelp or try asking one of the forum experts for advice.  I think that you should run any changes past your doctor first though.
