im so sad :( i feel nothing can help me

Im right now drinking and in tears, listening to sad music too... Im a 28 year old male.... i suffered big time heartbreak in 04, i was so sure it was because of my physical apperance, all though the girl kepted telling me it was my lack of confidence... i dont think i belive her... she was the only and first girl i fell in love with...ever sense then... i lost all my confidence, i just dont think im good looking enough for females, i been an alcholic for 7 years, i just never felt attractive enough for girls.... i tried alot of stuff like changing my looks, still nothings helped... i just wish i had movie star looks. this year i've taken anti depressants for anxiety, well that hasnt helped... ive stopped drinking for 3 months and im back on it this month.. im such a failure.. nothing can help me... sometimes i wish i had a deadly disease like hep c or hiv so i have an excuse not to date... my family probably thinks im a failure... my pics here will back me up.. how do u deal with this type of sadness?   http://i413.photobucket.com/albums/pp215/detpiston7788/pics3nd4054.jpg        http://i413.photobucket.com/albums/pp215/detpiston7788/pics3nd4055.jpg

Dude - you are not a bad looking guy.  Just checked your pic out and if I wasn't a married woman, I would go out with you if you were not a drunk and if you could crack half of a smile.  Turn off the sappy music, put down the bottle and find the simple pleasures in life.  They are there waiting for us, we just have to open our eyes.  Only you can get yourself motivated.

With your outlook on life, you will never find a woman.  I totally agree with Hosckeyshark.  I don't mean to be harsh, but it's up to YOU to change your life.  Take a hint from what your ex-gurlfriend said, she is trying to help you.  Speaking as a woman, I've dated the great-looking men, but for most of us it's about so much more than looks.  You're too hung up on looks!  We like men who have at least some confidence, are caring, a friend, and someone we can laugh with.  One of the fattest men in the world recently married, and he can't even get out of his bed!  But he works from his bed on his computer, and is happy, and outgoing.  Your family loves you, so you need to stop second guesing them.  Get off the alcohol, we also don't like drunks, and you will only spiral downwards.  Playing sad songs and crying in your beer is not the way to improve your life.  I know you see a lot of people who don't have the "movie star looks" who are married and happy.  You have to be happy inside before you can make anyone else happy.  You are so blessed to have a life, and to wish it away is just wrong.  YOU have to decide that YOU want a life, a happy, and fulfilling one.  Take Hockeyshark's advice, because he is right.  You got his perspective, a man's, and mine, a woman's.  Now get up and get going!  You have the ability to change everything, you just need to take that first step, and each step will get easier, and as you take these steps, your confidence will grow.

Hmmm... I DO have hep c, and this is not something you want to wish for. And it's not that deadly either, cause I too would sometimes be glad if it were. Besides, it is not an excuse for not dating. I'm actually getting a bit offended here.

And every guy can get a girl, all you need to to is stop that drinking, cause a drunk guy is not at all attractive. Haven't you ever seen that b*tt ugly guys walking with those beautiful women on their arm? It isn't because they are so wealthy or something like that (in most cases), but us girls tend to care more about a charming personality than charming looks. So stop feeling sorry for yourself, straighten up your back, and find your inner confidence and the girls will come running.

First. STOP DRINKING. it makes it worse.---  Look at my pictures. I am not an attractive guy. But look at my wife! She is beautiful! Women don't want a sorry drunk. They like a good guy. A Sense of humor. A Good sence of self. A bit of confidence. A Good person.

But it sounds to me like you have some work to do to get there. Seek help for your drinking, your depression, your low self esteem. It may take a while, but only YOU can turn things around in this area. You CAN DO IT! But it takes work. After you read this, begin to change your path. one step at a time. Good luck. Let us know how it is going. People are always here to write.
