lamictal, zoloft etc etc etc

I have been on 200 mg Zoloft, 200 mg lamictal, wellbutrin and 3 mg Xanax daily for 3 years. before welbutrin I was on abilify and it worked very well but it was unaffordable so doc changed it to welbutrin , which I never thought worked.
I started feeling down and anxious and asked the dr to change me back to abilify since I had new ins that will cover it . Instead she weaned me off the Zoloft in only 9 days with instructions to start pristiq 50 mg daily after the nine days. She failed to tell me the hell I would go through weaning off Zoloft. I'm afraid to sleep in the same room with my wife due to the nightmares and that I might hit her in my sleep. I also feel like I have mini shocks through my body, very anxious and down. I used to really like my doctor but now she is so busy our visits are 3 - 5 minutes. appointments with new drs are 6 months wait. I'm sick of all this and ready to get off all these meds since I've started off the zoloft. Can anyone advise me how?
My original diagnosis was major depression, ptsd and bipolar.

Well 1st off want to say I am very sorry for all your going thru. I have bipolar & am going thru depression now. I was on Zoloft & weaned off & begin Cymbalta during that time (I was on one of the lowest doses of Zoloft tho) I also am on lamictal 150mg, 5 mg of valium. But also 750 of Depakote ER, 100 Seroquel, 1200 Neurontin. So all my meds pretty much take care of the worst part of my bipolar symptoms. But trust me I went thru about 4 years of experimenting with meds w my psych b4 we got the right combo. When were you diagnosed? I can tell you with my degree in psychology and having Bipolar, you do not want to go without anything! shocking to know that in most research studies psychiatrist go by says Bipolar is one of the mood disorders that should be treated with meds 1st. Ive been thru manyyy meds & ups and downs and I have sensitivity to all side effects of the meds too. I tried welbutrin and it did nothing for me. I would insist on being put back on that med that helped you. I am VERY surprised you are only on lamictal as your mood stabilizer..bc it usually takes more than one. The Depakote & Seroquel have worked so well for me! But anyway that's just may advice. If you take nothing else away from this message listen to me when I say don't shy away from taking any meds for your Bipolar. Ive been there too! I wanted to stop and back when I was younger I did..and w in a few months it thru me into a severe manic episode and I didn't sleep for  i'd say 7 hours in a week. So trust me on this. Lt me know if this helped or if you have anymore questions. I can relate..i know what you're going thru and its hard & I am very sorry.

You were on a pretty high dose of Zoloft for 3 years. If I were you I would call my Dr and tell her you need a much longer tapering plan. In my opinion, 9 days is way too fast to get off of this med. No wonder you're having the shocks and nightmares. No one should have to go through this. Be persistent with your Dr. Remember that she works for you, not the other way around.
