I think see a psychiatrist,to check out of its anything like a mood disorder, there is good help for that
Hi and welcome to the forum. Please be careful about diagnosing yourself. I am never one to say your problems are in your head or there is nothing wrong. A lot of the time there is. I have heard of people your age haveing the onset of bipolar but without knowing a lot about you it is hard to determine anything.
Start journaling or wrinting in a diary. Write about your feelings that day, the good moments and the bad. Let this go on for a while before you look for treatment. Bipolar is a complex thing and so are the moods that "normal" people feel. I was told by a psychiatrist once that everyone has a little bipolar in them. Everyone has the capacity to get very happy and very depressed. With us, however it is devistating and can affect our lives.
I am not trying to down play your feelings in anyway but I wouldn't have wanted to know I was bipolar when I was younger and am glad I didn't find out till later. If I knew I would have never gotten into the military and therefore the last 13 years of my life would have never happened.
As Garth Brooks would say "Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers".
Here are some questions to be answered:
Has anyone in your family been diagnosed with a mental disorder....That you are aware of, it may not be polite to ask but perhaps they will be receptive to it?
Is there anything going on at school or in your life that makes you depressed?
Have you had trauma in your life recently?
Try meditation, exercise, and reading. If this doesn't work or you don't want to do it, then yes go see a doctor. But I urge you not to diagnose yourself.
Have a good day.
Im sorry to hear you are going through this tough time! I recommend you speak to your doctor about the issue and your parents, if you feel like it would help. I know that when I speak to my parents it really helps ease my anxiety :)
