Hi.  Start by constantly feeding yourself positive feedback.  You're not weird, you are as normal as any of your friends if not more so.  Try to be YOU when around your friends, say what's on your mind and work to be upbeat and most of all a good listener.  People love to talk about themselves and they love to hear their name so remember names and use them.  You'll never have to be without friends, just remember it's the the quality of your friends and not the quantity.  Being able to enjoy life by one's self is a great accomplishment and this is why we enjoy our "me time" so much.  You and your life matters and don't let anyone or anything stop your from achieving your goals.  It's okay to doubt yourself once in a while but never allow others to make you doubt yourself.  Hold your head high at all times and most of all be true to yourself because that's the only person that really matters when all is said and done.  You have good qualities and this shows in the fact that you are looking for help with this so you can continue working towards your goals.  You sound like a great guy...stop beating yourself up and doubting who and what you are...dwell on your good points.  It takes time to build confidence and you do this by thinking positive, not beating yourself up and thinking that maybe you're the only normal one among your friends....if you feel different it may be that you need new friends which are more like yourself.  Just because you may feel that you don't fit in with your current crowd doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you!.This is what leaders are made of.  I hope this helps and grab life by the horns and know that you are in control!
