paxil withdrawal i think

hi i was just wondering if anyone has experienced this. 1 year ago i was feeling dizzy which triggered panic attacks because i had no idea what was happening. The dizzy sensations never went away through the time i was on paxil but the panic attacks did which was a good thing. But The paxil was making me so tired and the dizzyness was still there but my doctor insisted there was nothing wrong and raised my dose to 24 mg. Not convinced that it was anxiety i seeked other opinions and a walk in clinic doctor discovered i had vertigo from 2 ears full of fluid. So with this info i returned to my doctor who also realized i had been suffering from ear infections. Funny how he didnt check this before putting me on the drug. So i started the taper off of paxil at a lower dose for 2 weeks and now it has been 5 days of no paxil. I have headaches still have dizzyness but its a different kind. It is quick sensations and it is accompanied by a swishing sound in my head when i move my eyes. It has been bothering me for 3 days. My doctor says it is just the  vertigo from the ear infections and refered me to a ENT. But i think these other symptoms are form the paxil withdrawal because why didnt i have these sounds the past year i have been suffering from vertigo.I also realize now that when i was on paxil if i missed a dose i would get these same symptoms but thought nothing of them back then because they would go away when i caught up my missed dose. I do not want to go back on it to cure the problem. I want to wait it out and see if this goes away. Does this sound possible that i am having a withdrawal problem and if so how long before it goes away. Or any suggestions on fixing this mess. Thanks

thanks for the replies. I decided to get back on paxil and try to do this again. After 2 doses of it everything was back to normal. no more dizziness and funny sounds. Its unbeleivable how bad that drug is. Now i am going to be stuck on it until i can try to taper off again. I would never recomend this drug to anybody.

Yup. I experienced lots of crazy **** on paxil. Fun stuff. I can't believe it's still on the market. My doctor took me off of it because it was connected with a high suicide rate in children, so now I take Prozac and Wellbutrin and am much happier. But that's just my experience. Really, everyone's chemical balances are different and require different meds. But I def. experienced that dizzy and fatigued feeling on paxil, and the withdrawal was insane. I know where you're coming from. I would get it checked out. I know our medical system is awful right now, but don't let that discourage you from getting help when you think you need it. Because your intuitions are usually right. You're not crazy. If you notice something's different, it probably is. Good luck + god bless. Sorry about the expletive at the beginning. I'm trying to act like a real teenager. Lost 8 years of that--time to make it up now! :P

yes, it does sound like withdrawal. you can go back on it and taper more slowly. it can take weeks for the withdrawal to go away completely. since you've already been off of them for a week you can just hang in there and the withdrawal will go away. keep us up to date on how your doing and take care.
