pristiq how long till it works

just gone on 6 weeks with pristiq feeling shaky inside,tired has anyone else feel shaky inside on this med is this a side effect after all this time or could it be its not working heard it can take up to 8 weeks has anyone taken it this long to work?

Have you ever been on an anti anxiety med before? I'm kind of surprised your Dr would have you on Pristiq alone for anxiety if you don't have depression. It's true that antidepressant meds can help with anxiety but Pristiq is usually prescribed along with an antidepressant if it's not helping much. Can you get in to see your Dr to talk about getting off the Pristiq and getting on an anti anxiety med? Just my opinion, but it sounds like that's what you need and not the Pristiq.

no increase yet im only on the 50 at the moment im on these for anxiety more than the depression

Usually they give these meds 6 weeks and if you have'nt started feeling better they may try something else. Some of us need a little longer though. Have you had a dose increase since you started taking it?
