This is something you really should be discussing with your psychiatrist, not us.  There are a lot of antidepressants out there, but not all will be suitable for you, so first you need the diagnosis.  Second, there are many classes of antidepressants.  Some are highly liver toxic, some are less so, but all meds are to at least some extent liver toxic.  It might just mean getting tested regularly, it might mean avoiding certain classes.  So it really is something that nees to be coordinated with an expert, not us.

From what I have read and heard from almost every doctor most antidepressants are safe for the liver. There are noted dose changes for people with liver disease on some of the drugs but overall they are safe. However anyone can react to a drug diffrent than others have, so a follow up blood test is always recommended. I do however know of one drug, Cymbalta, has been flaged by the FDA as not safe for anyone with liver disease. A letter went out by the drug company telling doctors not to treat patients who have liver disease with cymbalta. This might be an over reaction from the FDA but thats another story. On the other side I read a report on Lexapro as safe and Pristiq as safe. See the site below:

BTW I to have liver disease and I have been on most of them with no issues in regards to the liver.
