After a bite occur when using a public toilet

I sit on a public toilet something bite the crack of My butt and I jump fast. This happened some years ago. And the itching burning and irritation at the upper part of my butt crack comes from time to time so I would over the counter medication such as Cortisone thinking it would heal and cure the problem. Well unfortunately the medication did not work. So today, July 17,2018 I went to see my doctor and she checked my butt crack and found a sore that looked like a pinkish color around the sore? It didn't have bumps and no other infections but it was itching and irritation when I scratch it or sometimes I would feel these symptoms. The doctor swab the sore and look at it and stated that it could be herpes?? She scared the hell out of me!! Then she said Im not really sure what this sore is? But she will run some test and will have me to come back within a week are call me in several days. I'm worried because I have a fiancee and I have not cheated on him and have not had any type of sex in some years now. So I know I probably do not have genital herpes?

There is a cyst that is pretty common to have in that area- so it could be that as well.  I would venture to guess you probably don't have herpes.  Did the doctor say what other tests they were running?  It might be a good idea to have another doctor just take a look- just in case this is just something your doctor hasn't seen and maybe a second doctor may be more familiar with.

Thank you so much for your comments! My doctor said she will get this sore tested just to make sure it's not the herpes. But if she does not give me the correct results. I would go to another doctor for sure.
I'm sorry I forgot to mention that my doctor did not tell me she was running other tests?
Oh ok, you said run 'some tests', so I assumed there would be more conditions she was trying to test for.  Let us know how things turn out!
