4th times a charm?

I have a staph infection the starts on the corners of my mouth.  I went to see a Dermatologist and we took a culture.  He informed that is was Staph.  I don't remember which version.  I was given Bactroban and some oral, I think Moxcecilin (sp?) as I pehnotically spell it.

It cleared up.  A few days later it came back.  I took the oral and the bactroban did nothing.  It spread to my ear, genitals, and my nose.  I got another prescrption for the oral.  It cleared up.

Came back a few days later spreading like wildfire.  Took another culture and got really heavy doses of oral.  It cleared up for 1 month.

It just came back, it's slow going but I can feel it spreading.  My Derm doesn't know what to do, and obviously this antibotic isn't working.  He says it is the best thing to take and keep giving me same doses.  I feel like I need to see a infectious disease expert or something.

Please advise! I don't think this doctor knows what he is talking about and his office is kinda ghetto.  I was new in town and didn't know where to go so I went to the first person in yellow pages.

Hi

Staphylococcal infections are transmitted through direct skin to skin contact. Thus, there is a big chance that you may spread this infection to other parts of your body or to someone else. Have these areas covered and wash your hands always. Disinfect your telephones and doorknobs.

I suggest you seek consult with an infectious disease specialist. If this skin infection persists and spread despite treatment, you may need to have the diagnosis reassessed and  your medications modified .

I would also like to mention that I live in a clean environment.  I have a wife and 2 kids.  I don't do sexual things with my mouth.  I do ride the public bus and shave in the shower.  These are the only things I can come up with that would enable this to reoccur.  I realize Staph is bacteria and either I continue to get it (like my doctor things), or it just has never gone away (like I think).
