5 years of itchy anus and scrotum

I've basically been suffering from an itchy anus for the last 5 years, and in the last year it's spread over my scrotum as well. I've been prescribed 'Fucidin H' but it says in the leaflet not to use it on the anus and genitals! Any advice would be greatly appreciated because this itch is driving me mad! White, flaking stuff seems to come off whenever i scratch around the perineum and there is some scaling on my scrotum now. Please help!

I've got something called Egoderm Ointment which helps me with my dry itchy rashes.  (Made by Ego Parmaceuticals pty Ltd in Australia.)  It says on the tube that it's suitable for genital and anal irritation.

I have found petroleum jelly to be better than moisturiser for rashes in sensitive areas.

Good luck.

join the crowd. It's called eczema. A horrible disease that doctors don't care about. It's a life sentence of torture and misery. The only thing you can do is take shorter cooler showers with oilatum not soap. Then apply moisturizer all over. This will make it improve. Some people have this so bad they can't live any kind of normal life. You will not see any money being spent on a cure because it's rare and won't kill you.
Also try increasing the humidity in your house.
