Accutane and hair follow up

Hi again,

Thanks so much for your help previously. I have a follow up question.

Last I had asked you about the effect Accutane has on hair -- and whether or not the permanent straightening process -- Thermal Reconditioning -- might be a problem during Accutane.

You noted that while on Accutane, skin takes longer to heal or respond to trauma -- and for that reason - you suggested doing the hair process either before or 6 months after Accutane to avoid finding out that hair may do the same.

Do you think it might be ok to do the hair processing early in in the Accutane process -- say  just about a month into Accutane? Meaning -- does this issue -- skin, hair potentially taking longer to heal or responding less well to trauma -- happen right away while on Accutane? Or is it a cumulative response to months on the medication?

Thanks a million!

It happens more or less right away.  My advice--to wait till afterward, applies for the same reasons.  It's always better to wait when the action being considered is elective.

Best.
