Accutane for two months (should I worry about permanent side effects)

Hello,

I noticed commercials about accutane law suits.  I remember being prescribed this drug and I used it for what I can remember was a two month period. during that two months I suffered bloody diarhea and my eczema flared up to the point where I was bleeding.  I am reading about some of the side effects and it is scaring me.  Could I develop some of these serious side effects, my eczema has been pretty bad since then, lots of bad flare ups all over my body (is this a direct result of taking the accutane)? I also have very bad gas and my symptoms match that of Irratible bowle syndrome, is this a direct result of the accutane?

Please help. thank you, J

hi! i've just stumbled across your post. i hope you did find answers to your questions eventually. i'm on my 3rd week of accutane and am experiencing the same ibs issues and am freaked out that i'm really messing up my body by taking the accutane. my doctor took down my dosage to every other day, but i'm leaning towards getting off of it completely. because i'm still having the symptoms. if i knew it was temporary and would go away after my course, that would be one thing, but it seems to be a long term/ permant thing for so many people. Did you continue your course? Did your symptoms ever get better? Thanks for any help you can offer! -J
