Anal Skin Tag removal

I had two anal skin tags removed a week ago and they are still swollen.  How long will they be swollen for?  They are not painful per say but annoying.  I am taking sits baths and applying preparation-h and ice compresses.  Any suggestions on getting them to shrink sooner than later?

I had a complex  hemorrhoidectomy and skin tag removal 3 days ago. I got this during delivery of my baby 4 years ago and was too embarrassed to fix it..especially bc I work in the hospital I had to get the surgery at! I sucked it up and was shaking from anxiety after reading all the horror stories and severe pain. Let me tell you...I must have a higher tolerance for pain bc this is nothing. I feel like I have a huge flare up or something is stuck up my butt...I can sit and walk fine. My surgery lasted 1.5 hours under general anesthesia so it was complicated. I still was out of recovery in 30 mins and picking up my daughter from daycare by noon..(dad driving of
Course). I slept for 5 hours and cared for my daughter the rest. Took her to school following day etc no one knew I had surgery not even my roomate! Lol. Its just uncomfortable! Tolerable though. I took percocet the first day but had severe headache and started ibuprofen 800mg. I also drank caffeine and that helped a lot! Minimial blood. I just used a tucks and the lidocaine jelly. Day 2..ibuprofen 2x day...maybe one sitz bath just bc they said to...small spots of blood. I'm just really swollen down there looks bad..like tons of hemorrhoids..I'm hoping this goes away bc that's the whole point of the surgery was to get rid of skin tags...but I think this is the healing process. I go back to work 12 hour nursing job on day 4. I'm great today though just annoying feeling down there :) so don't be scared it's nothing like they say. Ive been eating normal since day 2..an had a stool day 2 with no pain bc it was loose from the bowel prep still. I'll let u know in few days my healing process.

I had a skin tag removed by cortorisation, When i came out of hospital i seemed to have a tampon stuck up my butt!! after the anaesthetic wore off it was sooo painful was soaking in a hot salt bath, then bath soak, running it as i had a bowel movement, so that i could get in the hot water as soon as possible.  i cant explain, and i was thinking why on earth have i had this done, the constant itching was better than this!! i found the only pain relief was voltarol which can only be taken short term, anyhow i kept on with the fybogel and lactolose.after 2 weeks i was still in considerable pain after Bowel Movements. 2 months after, still bleeding even though still using lactolose and fybogel, still eating high fibre, lots of conference pears and at least 3 litres of water a day. a keen runner , i was scared to run because of the pain,I went back to the doctor,He said I now had an anal fissure,  he suggested rectogesic, this really made a difference and i continued with the fybogel, and after a few weeks reduced the lactolose,I am now back running - exercise gets the system going!  then 4 months later i have found i have improved and am now thinking it was all worthwhile, whist still being VERY careful with diet, not becoming dehydrated - drinking too much wine in one go!!l,  i even went down to 1 fybogel no lactolose although attending a wedding, i had a day of champagne and this really set me back, bleeding quite badly for a week, so i took lactolose for a week  and am ok again, so relieved, no pain but guess i will have to be very careful for months to come.
Anyone undergoing this and having real pain and discomfort - dont give up, it will get better, i never thought it would, but now 7 months later, i feel much happier.

I I did had my Surgery for my skin tags about 3 weeks ago, and it is extremelly inflamed and swellen... I have being bleeding for about 3 weeks, where I even bleed at night and wake up with a lot blood on my underwear.
My butt looks like a circus with uninvited clows, it looks like I have more skin tags then before, and a little space in between some new bumps that were not there.
My surgeon is suppost one of the 10 best in the world not just in US.
I did go to my primary doctor and he told me I had to see the surgeon right a way, but the surgeon could not see me, and I am waitting to see him..
Does anyone knows if it is normal to have all this sweeling for 3 weeks and all this new bumps and bleeding????
Also the huge pain is gone but the discomfort to sit is horrible and I also have some discharge, what I heard it is normal... Does anyone know if it will ever go back to normal or will I need another surgery to fix it???
I just want to have a human butt again, and go back to my normal lif and activities..
