Anal rash

A few months ago I noticed that I was very itchy around my anus and groin area. After a while, I ringworm took shape on my inner thigh/groin area and I was given Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Lotion for treatment. The ringworm and anal rash went away within a week or so, but now the anal rash is back. I have no idea what this could be. I have more of the cream leftover but it may not heal it completely as before. I have posted a few pics for some suggestions.

See a DERMATOLOGIST.  A family doctor is NOT a Skin Specialist.  If you can't see a Dermatologist immediately, try products such as Cortizone 10 Anti-Itch Creme and/or Burt's Bees (Talc Free) Dusting Powder.

This may be a persistent type of heat rash caused from sitting, standing, etc., or something more serious, so having the rash identified by a Skin Specialist as soon as possible is very important.

try drinking lime ginger no sugar. cut out sugar from diet, and check ur imune system this means u have immune issues.. yeast. cut out milk sugar, bread and carbo..  try eating citrus.. or fast drink water. eat alot of ginger raw veg and keep using alchol on area. but this is only to treat the symptoms. I believe its food.that has high bacterial content or feeds bacteria.. it goes ito my system via food. lime im using to treat urinary track infection and i think its all i same .. lime ginger horse radish.. and antifungal things. this is ring worm fungus. like athletes feet on ur *******. has nothing to do with being a jock. but maybe having sex with one..

The rash is ring worm. it is coming from food or bacterial infection from e
eating something that has a bacterial content. i had this, from wiping my ***, and i think its from eating food that is processed.. bread. and cheese pizza and other.. that ltouches that area and causes the infection. do not buy any drugs use isopropial alchol and it goes away over night or in a day. baby wipes with alchol. 90 to 7o percent it cost almost nothing as aposed to monistat. and be careful of public restroom contact. and what u eat. its definatly food orinted in contact with wiping . its not herpes. its ring worm.. and it itches has scaly and CRACK AND BUMPS. NOT SURE ABOUT THE WOMAN,? WITH VAGINAL BUMPS U  MIGHT BE IN TROUBLE GO TO DR..

I discovered that the black pepper that you apply to food is what was caussing my horrible anal rash. Everytime I had food with black pepper I would get a very itchy rash that would last for at least a week.
Check it out what happens a day or two after having black pepper.
Good luck

Hi, I suggest you try tea tree oil.
In the morning, prepare a solution of water and a few drops of tea tree oil. Everytime you visit the bathroom, damp a cotton ball in the solution and treat the area on a regular basis.
Keep in mind that tea tree oil is very concentrated. If too pure, it will injure your skin. On the other hand, if it's too diluted, it may take longer to heal but I would be on the careful side.

I have been hitching in my anus area for years, until I found this amazing prescription that provides nature to us.

Good luck!

hi olivertwist.  i have a very similar rash on my rear end too.   my biggest concern is that it might be herpes, since i've been worrying about that lately.  today, i went jogging and when i came back, i wiped what i thought was sweat from my rear end and it was bloody.  not painful but bloody.  does your rash every get bloody?

any help is appreciated.  i also thought it might be caused by a hemmoroid.  but most pics i've seen of them don't come with rashes.  my rash is only where the skin of both buttocks touch and all the way into the anus, so i'm thinking its not a herpes breakout which would seem to be more random but a result of skin chafing or something.

thanks again!

I have had the same symptoms for many years,I have found that washing the infected area twice a day using an antibacterial soap (tea tree oil based) and MOST IMPORTANTLY  thoroughly drying the infected area using a towel first and then blow drying with a hair dryer stops the groin infection in its tracks!  I have also used an antiperspirant on the groin to reduce wetness on a short term basis (not to be used on raw or inflamed skin).

However I still can't stop the infection around the anus. I'm going to research talcum powder for that.

Good luck mate.

It has been sometime since you have posted but I was wondering if you have found any relief?

My wife suffers from what appears to be the same rash. It is very persistent and when she stops using the creams prescribed for her the rash returns.

Is there anything that you changed in your diet or added as a supplement that might account for this? Perhaps we can compare notes and get to the root of the problem.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms and picture are suggestive of intertrigo. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

The rash continues to return when I stop using the cream. A nurse I saw recently said it was likely just a fungus and Monistat cream should help clear it up but it hasn't helped one bit.

I'm wondering if it could be some form of Dermititis related to food allergies, celiac/gluten?

I don't play sports and I'm not too active which would result in sweating alot. This has been so annoying.

you need to finish using the ointments when theyre prescribed to you. Id recommend going back to your doctor so he can either prescribe you another cream, or an oral antibiotic. Have you been using any talc powders to keep the area dry? Do you use any baby wipes? because they often have alcohol which can dry out the area.
