Look at your diet.  If you are drinking sugary drinks, stop.  Don't drink beer.  Analyze every food you eat.  What foods do you eat every day like an addiction?  Make changes to those unhealthy foods you depend on.

Liposuction is good for contouring, but it's not a shot.  The original instrument used was the same thing they used for suction abortions.  They have specialized tools now, but that's how it works, and they just jab it under the skin to suck out pockets of fat.  There is bruising afterward.

I don't believe in liposuction as the answer, and the two drugs used injection used for non-invasive lipo are not anything I'd inject into my body. Phosphatidylcholine, one of the drugs in the mix, has shown evidence that it can lead to atherosclerosis The other, deoxycholic acid, is created from  taurocholic acid, which is produced from cattle bile purchased from the meat industry.

Some people, myself included, tend to carry weight in our bellies and for me, I don't carry much in my hips or thighs and I carry absolutely nothing in my bum (there's a pic in my photo album that you can tell, haha). I think accepting your body, the shape of your body, and knowing you can make the changes without going under the knife and the changes you'd make will benefit you in so many ways as far as your health.

I've found that keeping to a low glycemic index and not low carb but minimizing things like white bread, highly processed carbs, basically, and sticking to more whole grains for carbohydrates as well as increasing my protein intake a bit helped me lose weight (I used to be 200 pounds, I'm 108 right now… newlywed weight gain *mumble mumble, lol…and that was how I lost my weight as well as exercise.

Hooping (like hula hooping) with a weighted hoop — I made my own, I used water for the weight — helped trim my stomach and also give it a nice tuck/definition and really pretty quickly. It's a great workout. Using a weighted hoop vs. one from childhood is a bit tricky to get the hang of, it took me a few minutes, but I was good to go after that.

I don't think lipo is the way to go, there are so many negative aspects to it. Also, liposuction is not intended for weight loss, it's intended for those who are already at their ideal weight and just have some "problem" areas or for contouring. If you aren't at the weight you want to be at, it's not a good idea.

You can end up with loose skin, which from experience I know takes a long time to shrink up (after losing weight from being 200 pounds, I looked like I had been pregnant when I've never been) or you can opt for another surgery to remove the excess skin. Also, say you gain weight after liposuction, that weight gain will not deposit normally. It'll go to places that are usually a bit odd and in fatty bulges. You can also end up with skin rippling over the area where fat was removed, and other things. Not to mention that surgery itself when you go under general anesthesia always carries a risk of complications, including death.

Diet, frequent exercise including building muscle to help you with your exercise and to be able to do more intense workouts that burn more calories, as well as muscle helps burn calories even while you're at rest, and patience — weight loss is not overnight, especially weight loss that lasts!

Also, for me, exercising for long periods of time is difficult. I have ADHD that's pretty severe despite being on two medications, I still require behavioral tools like timers for everything, and I can't stand working out for 30 minutes or an hour straight. I work out in 10 to 15 minute bursts. It works great and it really doesn't feel like you're even working out. Just a tip.

If you want to help control your belly now while you lose weight, Spanx and Dr. Rey's line of shapewear is my little secret. I wear shapewear if I'm wearing something that's clingy or a little tight. It's not awesome getting used to wearing shapewear, but once you do, it's almost like "MORE, I need more!!" and I have managed to get quite a collection. :p
