Spots in Beard

Just to add perhaps a helpful note...

P.S. There seems to be small and fine unpimentated hairs on my spots - they are not compleletly bald?

Thank you.

When the alopecia grows in, the hair generally comes in dark as it did before.  Also, it is common for there to be more than one patch.

Dr Rockoff,

Thanks for your reply.  When these small, fine, unpigmentated hairs are present in a patch - does it mean that in time they will get thicker and darker?

In your reply, you also mentioned a spot or a patch.  I had mentioned that I had more - dose this make a difference?

Thank you.

That too is consistent with alopecia areata.  No reason to be concerned.
