Hello,
Since you have popped it up and it has drained spontaneously,so pus has come out.Pls apply topical antiseptics and Neosporin on the area to avoid any infection.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
It came to a head and I popped it. It is getting smaller every day and I think it is going away. Was it okay that I popped it?
Hello,
A boil, also referred to as a skin abscess, is a localized infection deep in the skin. A boil generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hard. Eventually, the center of the abscess softens and becomes filled with pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head," which can be surgically opened or spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin.
Boil on vagina is usually due to plugged sweat glands that become infected or by an ingrown hair.Try the above said treatment and if the symptoms persist then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
No I don't think it is a boil because I looked up the images on google and they don't look like it. Also the puss isn't clear or bloody it was like from a zit.
It is getting smaller after 2 days so I think it's going away. My mom bought me this cream it helps itchiness, burning and cleans bacteria. I think it is helping the cream is called Vagisil
Hello,
From the symptoms,it sounds like a boil. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus.Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection.
Pls keep the area clean and apply some warm compresses and topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics or incision and drainage may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
