Punch Biopsy - when to go to the doctor?

I had a punch biopsy done six days ago. I have two stitches that will be getting removed in two days. The site has consistently stayed very red. This morning I noticed a trace amount of blood and white/clear fluid (did not appear to be pus) after gently cleaning the site. I dabbed with a cotton pad and got a little more. It did not smell or appear to be infection. However, the site is very red. It is not swollen. Is not warm to the touch. I have very sensitive skin. The band aids alone irritate the skin and cause redness away from the site. Should I call the doc to make sure the site is not becoming infected? I've tried to remain optimistic, but every picture I see of sutures have healed up with no redness.

Been using Vaseline daily as was told. Mix peroxide and water and dab on site before applying, also as was directed. No baths.

Deep wounds heal differently. This was not just an opening of the skin, it was a punch biopsy. As long as there is no new pain, warmth, and is not swollen, then it's fine. Even with the redness. If in doubt, call your Dr's office, and the on staff nurse will tell you the same thing. :)
