Burning Itchy Skin

I have just woken up to very itchy and burning skin all over my back, it is very intense and will not stop. I have tried aloe gel on my back which only soothed it for mere seconds before it began to hurt again. The only thing that somewhat has stopped the pain is to rub a cold cloth across it constantly without stopping.

Some background, I am currently on Vacation in Mexico and I have a decently sun burnt back as I feel that might have something to do with the issue.

Hopefully someone is able to help as I have no clue how to stop the pain and its unbearable.
