CRACKER ACCIDENT - SKIN PIGMENTATION

Recently i have met with a cracker fire accident in my palm fingers. Now the wound has healed completely but  i am left with pink coloured skin. As the wounds started healing , I have been using coconut oil boiled with teak leaves to avoid scarring and for hyperpigmentation. This has been practised in our country for aeons and even the doctors who treated me are appreciating this practice.

Now the melanin pigmentation starts coming in dots and  patches but they are all darker in colour. I am worried that it will stay as darker forever. Is it normal to have darker patches initially and will they become lighter over time or do i need special medication to avoid hyperpigmentation? Please help

Should settle with traditional treatment mentioned, in a couple of months.
