Can eczema cause spots that look like petechiae?

I recently went to my family doctor because of what appear to be petechiae on my shins and some larger flat pinkish spots on my legs. These spots are not itchy or bothersome. I've had them for over a month. He looked at the spots and said they were not petechiae because petechiae would blanch with pressure (my spots don't blanch), therefore, he was not worried about Leukemia.  Everything I've read says that petechiae DO NOT blanch with pressue, but who am I to correct a doctor. Anyways, he ordered a complete blood count and a couple other blood tests to rule out Lupus, etc. These tests came back normal and he diagnosed me a type of eczema that causes pin ***** type spots which are from blood vessels. Is this possible? After researching, I can find nothing like this. If they were not looking for Leukemia and I did have it, would it show up in the CBC?

Could the new  Rx of Plavix I'm taking cause petechiae?  Also I have had a sun burn but I'm exploding with petechiae everywhere even spots that were not sunburned? Is this serious, can it wait until tomorrow to seek medical advice?

I just recently went to my doctor and I do have petechiae.  They do not blanch.  Petechiae can be caused by a lot of various things (some as simple as a vitamin k deficiency).

A complete blood count, if it were leukemia, would more than likely have shown some out of whack numbers.  Considering they came back normal, you're probably fine.  If things get worse, I'd go back.
