Can freckles get bigger if you stretch the skin?

i mean sometimes we all find ourselves stretching the skin on our face with our fingers, for example, waxing the upper lip and you're required to stretch the area you're gonna wax. I read that our skin is elastic so i hope that I'm just being paranoid.

Hello,
Moles are basically formed due to clusters of melanocytes producing melanin. It has been hypothesized that that overexposure to UV, including excessive sunlight, may play a role in the formation of acquired moles but more research is needed to prove it and it is yet to be proved.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

hi doctor. thanks so much for your clarification. so basically, spots, moles, etc on the skin don’t become bigger or change their size when you stretch the skin? don't worry. i'm fine.. this random question just happened to cross my mind the oher day. Another question, is a mole also formed due to deposits of concentrated melanin, just not from the sun?

Hello,
Freckles are flat tanned circular spots which are caused due to deposits of concentrated melanin. They don’t become bigger or change their size when you stretch your skin.
