Changing in palm skin

What can cause the skin on my palms become,all of a sudden_thin,shinning and silky ?
It looks like having gone through a peeling process but_without any kind of exfolliation...
Also,my palms are more humid and coloured(red/pink)_than usual;
the same_with the skin on my my soles.

Hello,
What you are having is called palmar erythema which is a reddening of the skin on the palmar aspect of the hands. It can be due to contact dermatitis, liver disease like cirrhosis, thyrotoxicosis, alcohol consumption and skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

In my opinion you should talk to a cosmetologist/dermatologist about this and get these possibilities thoroughly investigated. Till then, wear cotton-lined gloves when doing housework such as dishes and laundry and use mild soaps like Dove and Cetaphil.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

While these changes may be due to local factors, like for example hand cremes containing steroids, one also have to bear in mind in some cases(May not apply to you) Alcohol induced dermatologic changes leading to thinning and Palmar erythema(Liver palms) Other factors would include nutritional factors like zinc deficiency.

Guess you would do fine with suppliments and glycerine cremes.
