Chicken pox and how to prevent scarring

I am 36 and have just gotten chicken pox. My daughter of 7 years old also has chicken pox. Thankfully, her spots are mainly on her stomach and back (very few on her face). I, however, have lots of water filled spots on my face aswell. Besides not scratching these spots, is there anything else that can be done to ensure that we both do not get scars on our bodies and faces.

Hello,
It is common for chicken pox to leave scars if scratched. So you are doing a good thing by not scratching. Also apply calamine lotion on the pustules. After the scabs shed off, you can apply vitamin E on the spots to lighten their appearance.

I hope it helps . Take care and regards.

I know of no prevention except not scratching.
