Cluster of bumps in pubic area, not red, not painful, no itch

About a week ago, I trimmed a considerable amount of hair off of my pubic area, with the electric trimmers set at nearly the lowest setting.

A few days ago, I noticed a small cluster of bumps around the base of my penis. They are about the same color of my skin, and they do not itch. The more I poke and prod, they become red, but are not red generally.

I notice similar bumps here and there on other areas of the base or lower shaft, about two or three more, but not in clusters.

These bumps do not itch and they are not painful. Like I said, they are not red unless I mess with them. They are unsightly in my opinion and would like them to go away, and I'd like to know how to keep them away.

Hello,
From the symptoms it can be genital warts or benign growths like seborrheic keratosis. Warts are tumours or growths of the skin caused by infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV).They are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. It is also possible to get warts from using towels or other objects used by an infected person.

Exactly what it is can be confirmed only after examination and biopsy.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

These bumps could be hair folicles, as for the redness the more you poke at any part of the body it'll eventually redden.

if it's razor burn you can try buying some witch hazel which is a natural astringent and dampening a cotton ball and rubbing it over the area a couple times (just a quick swipe)

Other than that, I suggest you try creating a post in our "Ask an Expert" forum and seeing a dermatologist about this.

Sincerely,
Cindie
