Complete Chicken Pox Scar Removal For Adults

I'm 24 now and I have 3 chicken pox scars on my face from when I was about 10 years old. The 3 chicken pox scars are round depressions in my face, that are on the side of my nose, a half inch below my eye and an inch below my eye all on the same side of my face, so it looks sort of funny (think connect the dots) and I'm VERY self conscious about these now.

Now that I'm older and have the money I would like to try to remove these chicken pox scars. I'm interested in the best treatment that will remove these scars as close to 100% as possible without leaving any additional scars or scar like areas in the place of the depressions.

Can anyone tell me what procedures would most likely achieve the best results and suggest any top notch doctors around the US that could do this? I am willing to travel for treatment to see a top specialist if needed.

Hi

I also have a chicken pox scar. It is right below my eye, and I notice it really well at the moment. I don't know why, but it started to caught my attention after I started High School. None of my friends have ever mention it to me, but I feel really insecure about it. Not only do I have this scar but I also have another one beside my lip, that was cause of a stranger kid I played with when I was 6. Yes, I do hate this kid, wherever you are now! It is not a chicken pox scar but more like a thin like scar. These two scars on my face makes me really insecure about myself and I wish to have them gone!

Hello, I'm 29 years old and have dealt with chicken pox scars since I was four. I have about 50 pockmarks scattered on my face, some bigger than others. After a while you just learn to forget about them. Sure, it's tough in high school because kids can be cruel but that goes away. Although my face bothered me deeply for years I learned to develop a good personality to make up for it. This led me to many great things in my life including marrying a girl that is way too hot for me! I guess I'm just trying to encourage everyone to wear their scars proudly. You've dealt with years of agony that have built up your character and you don't need to waste a lot of money on mediocre fixes. Be proud of yourself and look at what's more important! Beauty comes from the inside! Keep your head up. It will get better!

I can very well understand from my own dark days 4 years back. Chicken pox Scars can be real messy when it comes to your facial look and other people's stark remarks. I tried many creams for scars, oil based and chemical based but i should say it really detoriated the problem. Maybe my skin was very sensitive and the dark scars became more serious.

That was when my neighbor referred the Invicible Scars Treatment cream. I was a little finicky in the beginning but in two weeks the scar marks started getting light.Though the marks have not fully faded ,it is so so better now.

i have had chicken pops over 15 years i used artra skin tone cream which is aloe vera the cost is around $3 at walmart it fades away scars within 3 - 6 month depending on how bad they are and for faster results take dietary supplements pills with lutein for healthy skin hydration as well as vitamin E! I'm a model very light skinned and the dark spots were all over my body a really bad look for me. I hated it the dark marks did leave but now i have bite marks but i know what to use so I'm sharing my secret I do have before and after pic that i show around :) dont feel bad many people have scars the older you get the more it fades away as well. Good luck

Wow I thought I was the only one. Reading these peoples probs make me feel much better. I thought I was being stupid about it, but I see it affects others too. I have such a beautiful face but when I take pictures, those scars is all I see. I have four going down my cheek line and it looks like I have a 5 O'clock shadow.... Ugh. I live in orlando florida and would love to know what steps do I have to take to remove this. It would make me feel 100% better about myself.

Hi, I'm 14 years old. And i've had these chicken pox scars since i was about 6 or 7. I have around 20 on the side of my face and next to my eye. I also have a few on my chin and a few around my other eye. I've talked to my mom before about different things to help them go away. She's bought me numerous creams and oils for scars because obviously they're alot cheaper then a surgical alternative. Even though she said she would get me laser treatment or something along those lines, i can never seem to get her to take me to a doctor for it. So i was wondering the approxamite cost of something that would help completely remove ALL of the scars on my face, without leaving any additional scarring behind. I was also wondering how much it would probably be to have a laser or surgical procedure done.

Thank you!

I have several scars on my forehead from chicken pox.I have really been researching getting them removed. I went to a dermatologist, they can do very little for you.  Microdermabrasion won't help. It would be a waste of money. I'm going to a plastic surgeon soon. It seems the most  effective way is to get either a  demabrasion, or skin resurfacing.
Hope this helps!
