Dark pigmentation on Nasolabial Lines

Hi everyone,

I'm a 19 year old male, not on any medication and not aware of any underlying health conditions.

I have developed dark skin pigment that runs parallel with my nasolabial lines (the smile lines) on either side of my face. I have also noticed today that there is some discolouration on my chin also.

I first noticed the lines about a week and a half ago and so far they haven't noticeable faded.

My question is what could possibly be causing the darker pigment to form, and would it be wise to book an appointment with a Dermatologist?

I have already visited my Doctor, but he didn't seem overly concerned. He asked me to perform regular exercise and eat a balanced diet and if they didn't fade, he would look into it further.

Thank you!
