Derma Problem, Please help!

I have some red spots surrounded by more pumped edges on different places on my body, hand, legs, foots. they started as very small red spot around 1mm in diameter then grow to about 5-10mm in diameter. It itches sometime specially   foot and leg, but the one on the hand never itches! also others on stomach area never itches. I visited Dr. and he told it is allergy and gave me anti-allergy that contains cortisone. I'm really not convinced with his diagnoses and I fell allergy toward any thing that contains cortisone!
I can send some pictures if it is possible
Please help!
Thanks

Hello,
You can use a mild soap like cetaphil or Dove. Generally for pityriasis rosea, no treatment is usually required. In most patients, the condition lasts only a matter of weeks or months (upto six months)

If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist. Other possibilities have to be ruled out then.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
It can be due to an allergy or pityriasis rosea. Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching. Topical and oral steroids are needed. Water, sweat, and soap may cause irritation and should be avoided in the disease. Topical zinc oxide and calamine lotion are useful for pruritus.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
