Do I have genital herpes, an ingrown hair, a cyst, or something else?

First of all, here is an image of the bump in question: https://imgur.com/VOzUvfQ
BTW - you can see the full resolution of the photo by just clicking on it

About two to three months ago, I noticed what appeared to be an ingrown hair on my groin area about 2-3 inches above my penis. I thought it was either an ingrown hair on some type of infection. I say infection because I sweat excessively, especially in the groin area. I also have a bad habit of not showering after an intensive 2 hour workout because it takes me about 45 minutes to cool down, so I don't want to hop in the shower only to continue sweating and have to take another shower in the next 30 minutes.

After about a week or so, I tried squeezing it. There is something dense just under this bump, like sebum or pus or something else. When I tried to squeeze this bump as hard as I possibly could, there was absolutely no pain beyond what squeezing skin would feel like on any other part of your body. And there has been absolutely no pain otherwise. There is no itching either. There has been no seeping, weeping or any other noticable product from this bump. There has also been no crusting or scabbing. There hasn't been any change in size since I noticed it.

From doing some amatuer research online, the closest thing that it resembles in a benign symmetrical melanoma, but I'm not sure. I know it is difficult to diagnose these things over the internet, but is this something I should be concerned about?
