Hi,

Do consult your skin specialist and let us know what he /s he advises.

Atopic dermatitis and eczema would have to be ruled out.

You could read more about the condition at the following links -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atopic_dermatitis

and

http://www.aafp.org/afp/990915ap/1191.html

Let us know if you need any other information and post us about how you are doing.

Regards.

Hi,

This could be dermatitis, or skin hypersensitivity.

You would not need surgery for this most probably. Are there any trigerring or relieving factors for your complaints?

It is important that you consult a skin specialist for a clinical examination.

Till then you can continue with the medications you are using currently.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Regards.

Hey.
Where im working currently makes it very difficult to just go to a dermatologist(im work up north). But when im back on my few days off im going to try and get on this..My diet is fine..and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. My vitamins and minerals have always been pretty consistant.i drink lots of water.I seem to have gotten the dry skin under control with vasoline. It works great but leaves me a little greasy. So i have been trying Spectra EczemaCare(intese rehydration cream). It has been doing a rediculously great job on my sever dry skin. But my red marks....there still there...my mom says i used to like my lips as a young kid..could that of givin me scare tissue that is very sensitive? When the red marks are not acting up..im very confident and much more outgoing...
im going to go to the doc as soon as im off work around june 4th.I hope he/she can help me.What do you think about getting surgery? Im pretty much at the point where i will go to the extremes to get rid of them...
i just wish i could make them go away..
(the pic doesn't do justice) if you could see how red they actually get,its so embarresing..people just stair at me......it would be easier if i could just understand what goes on with my face.....

Hi,

Yours is a very long standing problem. Have you consulteda skin specialist for your complaints? What does the doctor have to say about this?

Are you drinking adequate water daily?

You should supplement your diet with vitamins and minerals and eat a healthy balanced diet. You should not wash your face with soaps - they will dry the skin further - use non drying face wash and apply medicated sun screen - preferably one prescibed by your skin specialist.

You could apply calaimne lotion to help soothe the lesions.

Let us know what your skin specialist advises and post us about how you are doing.

Regards.
