Dying hair from black to brown

When i was little, about 8 years old and under my hair was naturally light brown and very straight. over the past 11 years its been getting darker, now i'm 19 and my hair is almost caompletely back, ppl say i have very dark brown hair now. by the way i'm a guy so my hair is not very long. my hair is also starting to get wavy.
what i want to do is dye my hair brown but don't want to go to a salon and whant to know if i shoudl do somethign different to the instructions on the hair dye because m hair is very "black" and know if there's any tircks as to how i can keep it my hair straight without having to straighten it every day.

Try a high lift brown lightning box, they typically contain more ash than other types and help eliminate red tones. As for the straightening you may want to try a leave in conditioner, the wave could be due to dryness, Aveda salons have some some what pricey products but they work very well for straightening hair.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
It is not possible to change the color of your hair on your own without using anything. this can be done by using hair colors and creams but it should be done only after allergy testing in which amount of dye is rubbed on the skin of the forearm by a doctor. The skin is closely watched for signs of a reaction, which include swelling and redness. Confirmatory diagnosis is by blood tests (RAST).

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
