Eczema and salt water

I have a case of eczema that has been manageable for sometime now. I have plans to be snorkeling and swimming in the ocean and am concerned about possible reactions to the salt water. What should I expect? Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
Kellie

Hello,
Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites).

But in case of ocean water, according to the British Association of Dermatologists, there is considerable evidence that salt water baths may help some patients with atopic eczema.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
