Eruptions

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently wrote to you about the 3 medications I use ( clindamycin, differin, and monocycline).

I have been using them for a month, and have little improvement.  But, my face has broken out everywhere, places that I never had pimples before.  It is really depressing.  What should I do?  THis is ridiculous!!!!!!

The strange part is, when I feel my face, it is smooth.  These blemishes are not bumpy like pimples though.  Could this mean remission?  How long must I wait?

Also, could a moisturizer help this proces?  I am so confused and just wanted to clear up some pimples, no I have a  MESS!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much, you make a difference,
Matt

Matt:

Relax!  (You're going to be OK.)

The treatment you're taking is mild.  It will not make you worse, but it may not make you better for 6-8 weeks.  My advice is to let your doctor know what's going on.  Most likely he or she will advise you to persevere for another month or so, and then re-evaluate with an eye to changing the treatment if needed.

Be patient but persistent, and you'll do fine.

Best.
