Fleshy Plugs Under Skin In Pores on Face

there is a spot on my nose that i've rubbed raw washing, trying to get these "things" out of my pores.  these are not whiteheads, nor blackheads.  these are clusters of white or fleshy hard and sticky plugs-- not filled with anything, but they stick straight out from the pores. They are not bumps.  If I rub the area w/ a towel they do not rub off at all.  I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky)  and clearly goes deep under the skin.  Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.

These are a YEAST infection. I had these horrific lesions in my face BIOPSIED. You need anti fungal cream. If that doesn't work you need antifungal tablets. Yes they feel better when the white roots are removed but they will not go away doing this and scar. Please see the doctor and tell them what you have. They start off as small red bumps. Then they open up and there are lots of little white hard balls/strands in each follicle. They are almost impossible to remove. You can't push them (they just bleed) and to remove with tweezers you have to get a good grip and work them out. But they almost always break off half way down. When left to heal over you can feel a little lump under the skin. They can take months to heal. If this sounds like you, then you have a yeast infection. In my case it was MALASSEZIA folliculitis. CONFIRMED on biopsy. Prior to the biopsy the dermatologist had no idea what they were. I was given antibiotic cream, oral antibiotics, oral steroids and strong steroid cream...all of which make fungal infection worse. So treat the fungus and take a probiotic to heal from the inside. Hope this helps!

I've had cystic acne/demodex/bacterial infections for eight years (3 derms and 3 diagnoses and 9 prescriptions) but on my own have finally found some simple things that REALLY work.  I promised myself I would share any positive experiences with products if I ever found anything that worked.  Simple infection cream (like bacatracin) definitely helped immensely when put on the spots.  I also used moisturizing cream that does not block pores and it helped the skin soften and the bacteria to come out. I used Cerave but others may work just as well.  Then while these two were working I bought anti-bacterial facial cleanser (NOT with benzoly peroxide but with triclosan) and haven't had any new spots since using it twice a day. I SINCERELY hope this helps you with this nightmare as it finally has helped me and I pray it continues to do so.

Hello, I have being following your comments, I agree in our case this must be related to hair follicles, I have visited different doctors, and I was diagnosed first with dermatitis, then  acne.... I am 100% sure this is not Acne, non of this doctors got a swap to test because in their opinion it was not necessary :(  So tired of trying to get some help that they refused to offer I started reading and trying stuff I can say that after a year of suffer, spending big money on doctors, dermatologist, all kind of ointments et.. My conclusion is that in my case the use of  NONO hair removal device  was the trigger, interesting that you were also using a Hair removal device ( the Electric tweezer),  by the time this started I was for one week on cephalexin ( antibiotics) for a surgery I had to get done,  we all know that antibiotics can affect tremendously our healthy bacteria a then lower our immune system.  So I went to  a functional doctor which agree that the use of NONO could be the cause, he also thinks that if by chance I was having some overgrowth of yeast could result in this sores that take forever, I mean forever to heal I had one that took almost 7 months to heal,  the little  white seeds everyone describes here were coming to surface all the time, I now know those are inflamed hair follicles, why are they inflamed ??? ( The NONO) supposed to affect it and probably the Yeast overgrowth, I got tested and Yes I have an overgrowth of candida (yeast).  So this is the plan I am following: he prescribes Nystatin to control the yeast he suggested go back to dermatologist to treat scars and the hair follicle part so I did and explain everything the functional doctor told me and derm said it is possible and if that is the problem I  need to kill hair follicles with Lasser also for scars he will  do PRP(plasma), subcisions, and fascia Lata, I am very excited about it, supposed to heal indentations like no other treatment.  I was exited to read that you are having great results with the Lasser hair removal, I am praying this is the answer I was looking for.

I wrote earlier on about the silver cream which really cleared them up for me. However im believing more and more its something to do with hair follicles as some posts by others have suggested. I have naturally dark/black hair and suffer from dark hairs around my chin and lips. Was always using electric tweezer to remove. I found I always got these lesions where I had these unsightly dark hairs. 5 months ago I said enough and started laser treatment to be rid of hairs. Since these treatments I hve not had one lesion. My chin.lip area is clear. For me I feel its related to hair follicles. I cant blve the difference. I also use medicated grade creams from laser clinic...a facial scrub...serum and retinol and moisturiser. Ive been lesion free since starting laser hair removal for 5 nearing 6 months. I also used scarsil gel to clear scars. By no means am I saying ive solved what they are..but I do blve its linked to hair follicles and possibly these mites. My face esp upper sides of my lips was a complete mess with these lesions. I had 4 at one stage which were doubled in size and joined each othr. In centre of the lesions I had dark hairs poking through around these white seeds...soon as they finally cleared I had first laser sesion. I am totally wrapped at the results. I use skinstitut products from the clinic. Im not saying hey you shld all get laser but for me it has worked. Killing hair follicles has killed off my lesion prob. Touch wood I wont get them again.

Does anyone notice that their symptoms get worse during a certain time of year/temperature change...?

I felt like I was gaining headway and saw improvements.  I workout religiously, do yoga, take my vitamins, do my topical regiments, I am detoxing, not eating any grains or meat and then BAM... have 2 lesions with white plugs and I can't get them to healll.  I just stare at the crumbly looking fake skin, trying to heal, but won't. And its so painful and the clear fluid is driving me nuts.   I haven't had it  this bad in over 4 months(hence, I thought I was making headway).  I am just curious if anyone notices changes in the severity of their lesions/symptoms(more outbreaks..etc) or changes their regiments with the seasons?
Its fall and cold in my location and I am just thinking maybe its less Vitamin D, maybe more oil production from cold weather that caused my symptoms to overcome my regiments?

Any thoughts?
