Hi,
Folliculitis or inflamed hair follicles goes away without medical treatment within two to three days. Self-care measures, such as warm compresses and topical medications, can help relieve the symptoms. However, persistent or recurring cases are likely to require treatment which depends on the type and severity of the infection. Over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen or paracetamol may help. Oral antibiotic may also be prescribed to prevent infection.
Take care and keep us posted.
the treatment for it is a low level anti biotic over several months( 3-6 ), you can talk to a pharmacist on OTC meds but your better off with a prescription.
