Folliculitis on butt

As you will note, I am not gay.  I am constantly amazed and turned on by a well shaped narrow but shapley female butt (as I presume most of the hetero world is).  I have a phrase - the smaller the butt, the bigger the diamond.  but I digress.  For those women who have these, the smoothness and softness of their skin is amazing.   And mine has a few pimples and 'eruptions'... Yuk.  I am a bit hairy.  More than some, less than others.

I went to see a dermatologist who nearly laughed at me.  I think if you aren't dealing with skin cancer, they think that you are a bit vein.

He told me it was folliculitis and gave me some topical something or other.  That didn't work so well.  I still have it.  I suppose it's not so good that I sit on my butt all day, most days, at work.   I would really like to get rid of this.  I can't imagine it's much of a turn on for any of my companions??

Any suggestions?

Will chemical peeling or laser resurfacing stop folliculitis from reoccurring? I've have been suffering from these for almost 15 years and they make dark spots all over.

Hi

I would think that this is folliculitis and folliculitis is a bacterial infection. This skin infection may be contagious and may spread to other parts of the body. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin cream can stand alone if applied on the affected skin. You may opt to use antibacterial soaps instead of topical cream. As for washing regimen, using a mild cleanser such as Neutrogena or Cetaphil may help prevent further irritation of the skin.

Folliculitis is the primary differential here. So it is best to start with topical antibiotics. You need oral antibiotics if the skin condition does not respond to topical medications.

Thanks again Vanessa... but I already know this.   I can't change professions.  I didn't take antibiotics... I don't want to dump those in my system for this and the topical lotion is near useless.  And from the few porno's I have seen, I am not the only male with this condition.  There has to be a better answer.   I do sit on a cushioned seat.  I bathe once, sometimes twice a day (with soap - really)....   Do you have any practical advice other than take antibiotics?

I am looking for an answer such as:  a soap to wash with... a washing regimine which will help.  Different underwear (now cotton briefs)...  and I should mention I am in Florida and it's hot here.  90+ degrees most days in the summer and HUMID.

Thanks.

Hi

These pimples or eruptions on your skin may be folliculitis. It is best to continue applying your medications. You have described these as pimple like. These may develop through crack or nicks on the skin. Folliculitis involves hair follicles and they may readily spread to other areas of normal skin. They may be painful or tender and prolonged sitting may aggravate these.

Continue the antibiotics if you have been prescribed these. Sit down with a cushion on the seat and wash the area with a mild and bland cleanser to keep the skin from being irritated.
