Itchy Skin (No Rash)

Hey Everyone.

Here's my situation over the last couple of years on and off I have been suffering from really bad itching skin. But over the last year it had been getting worse and worse.

So let me explain I get a really bad stingy out of control itchiness throughout my legs and sometimes the rest of my body. I can get it during the gym, sex, stress and the only way to get rid of it is to stop what I am doing relax and hope it stops.

It is starting to get so bad I've had to stop going to the gym because I just don't want to put up with it. It hurts so bad. I have seen doctors and a dermatologist and they don't know what it is. I've had bloods and allergy test nothing. I've changed my soaps and washing powders no change. I've tried anti histamines and added b12 nothing. My diet isn't bad always could be better.

Now I don't always get it. But it's most days. There is a tell if I'm going to get it when I wake up I'll have a faint itchiness on my feet or hands. This itch is really bothering me it is stopping me from living my life. It gets so bad that I've drawn blood from my legs.

Maybe it is something systemic...like something going on inside your body.  Do you have any other symptoms?  Or maybe it is from your spine and some kind of nerve compression causing it. Do you have any spine stiffness or injury?

I have itching and tingling in my arm and in my finger... I thought it was from nerve compression, because I have cervical compression in my spine and neck.  The doctors did not help me with this...they told me I have lumbar compression in my spine...but my medical record says I have spine compression in my low spine AND neck!!! :(

Ask your doctor for more information and ask if it is from a neurological cause.

1. Have you tried diligent use of plain skincare lotion, just after a bath or shower?

2. Have you tried switching to bathing using tepid water, not hot?

3. Have you tried patting rather than rubbing dry your skin after bathing?

You may find cotton fabrics are better tolerated by skin that's become irritated from becoming lacking in natural oils.  Stratching the skin may greatly slow recovery.  Winter's can be a bigger problem time because indoor air's dryer in that season.
