Groin Rash yeast?

I developed a rash on each side of my scrotum it is bright red and has some small "zit" like spots within an inch of it. My scrotom is also bright red.

I run and bike alot.

Does this sound like sweat rash or a yeast rash?

My GP gave me econozole and nystain sp* which  I have been applying at the same time day and night, and using goldbond medicated after that sinks in good.

I am gentle and washing it twice a day and dry my groin with a hair dryer and sit with my legs open for 20 or minutes before applying the lotion and powder. I have been doing this for a week or so. It seems a bit better but I am not sure. It HAS NOT spread and when i sit, the redness is literally on the parts that touch my thighs.

If it is yeast related how long can I expect it to take to clear up?

Thanks SO SO SO much for taking the time to respond, as it is alot to ask, to give your time!

Hello,
From the symptoms it looks like rash due to friction rub. Rash due to yeast or fungal infection is mostly itchy. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments.Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
