Herpes or ingrown

Do all herpes outbreaks come in group blisters?

I have a red bump in my public hair area. Normally, I would think it was just an ingrown hair. However, it also appeared at the same time as some non-raised, red dots on my lower abdomen.

Could this be Herpes? My boyfriend said he tested positive for herpes antibodies but doesn't have herpes.

Thanks for any assistance.

I had 1 red bump in my pubic hair region too. Does herpes sore appear as 1 red bump? That happened quite long ago, around 1 or 2 years. If it's herpes, will it come back agn? >.< I'm really really worried tho my ex-bf said he doesn't have herpes. Is herpes labialis the same as the genital herpes? Cuz I'm diagnosed with that instead of the genital one. Omg I'm really scared and paranoid! Reply soon thanks!

Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like folliculitis. Herpes appears as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Warm regards.

Does not fit in with the clinical pattern of herpes..Most likely a folliculitis.Do apply mupurocin, should be sufficient.
