Herpies or ingrown hair?

I have had these bumps under my ***, it looks like a break out but they are pretty big bumps. It seems like they are ingrown hairs because i shave closely up my leg, but they have been there for about a month. They aren't irritated or anything at all. I havent been shaving there to see if they will go away, it seems like it may be working. But they still remain and are just somehting I've never seen before. I've been having sex with my boyfriend for 8 months and havent seen it before until about a month ago but it seems like it occured in the first place because of shaving but they are bigger and different looking then a regular ingrown hair, they arent red, they are just bumps. What could this be or how could I get rid of it? My partner is scared I am infected, but after all my sexual partners before him, I have been checked and came out negative for everything.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be rash due to friction rub, folliculitis, cysts or genital warts (caused by HPV infection).

Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You  can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lumps persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

The exact location you mentioned was changed to asterics, but it could be a bacterial skin infection, likely from shaving.  I doubt it is an STD, but needs treatment.  Don't be shy - go to the doctor.
