How Long for Fresh Pink Skin to Heal After Scab Disappears?

Hi,

A month ago, I scratched my hand with my finger nail. Just a minor abrasion

Yes, I shouldn't have done it.

Yes, it was stupid.

Yes, I've learned my lesson.

Anyway, the abrasion scabbed over.

My wound definitely healed. The scab has fell off. However, there was now a large patch of bright pink skin (dark pink skin), which I presume is granular tissue/fresh "baby" skin growing where the scab is . These VERY pink patch was crusty and very unsightly. Well fast forward to a month and a week later, the patch is now shiny and looks more whitish in color. It isn’t pink anymore

My questions are:

* How long for this fresh skin to blend in with my normal skin tone? When will they fade? What are we talking here - days? Weeks? Months?

* And is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

I appreciate any replies
