How to get rid of red burning itchy skin from face cream?

I have used Olay for many years.  I bought a new bottle used it a few times with no problems.  The last two times I used it my face has turned bright red, extremely itchy, eyes are watering.  I took  Benadryl and later a Claritin. I have tried washing my face which seems to help for about 2 minutes. I really do not know what else to do, it is really burning and really itchy.  I have no idea why this would be doing this to my face. I am using the same cleansers as usual. I never have this problem as long as I do not use this cream.  I am sad to have to throw the cream out as it was costl, but I know I am allergic to it now for some reason.  Why would I all of a sudden become allergic to a cream that I never was before, and how can I make it this symptom stop without going to the dr. office?
