Hydrocortisone cream 1% used on penis glans. Now thinned skin.

Will my penis glans skin recover after using hydrocortisone 1% cream? I began using this cream in February 15 for about 5 days. Then I stopped and had sexual intercourse.  Everything seemed fine but I got redness so started using it again for about a week. All was fine again. Then masturbated and the skin not my foreskin must of rubbed on residue that was there. This was about a week later after having used it. It seemed that 3 quarters of my glans went a blood red colour. I guess the skin was starting to thin.  I masturbated a few more times over the week and my penis glans skin began to go dry and crack.  On once occasion a dot of blood appeared. I couldn't understand what was going on.

It was sore and painful but a man has needs. When I masturbated I kept the skin retracted (I am uncircumcised ). This stopped any friction. I then tried to stay away from sex and masturbating.  However a man does have needs so if I did I used a lube. So as not to affect any healing process. So. So far I had used cortisone 1% on and off for roughly two weeks I guess. I'd decided enough was enough. The skin was becoming wrinkly and transparent when my penis was soft when I started to masturbate.  When erect I noticed that some capillaries were showing at the Base of the head. Also it has a shiny , waxy appearance and could be red in one place.  Anyway. Through pure stupidity I decided to use the cream for one more week. Only applying it where the redness was and rubbing it in.

I read some more stuff online and thought. Wow. Enough of this poison. So stopped using it and won't use any steroid cream again. So. At the moment I have a prison glans that can have a blotchy appearance and the skin can look at little loose . If I start to masturbate i first see transparent wring skin then the whole glans looks dry. I then get out the lube to stop any damage and the reappearance of cracked skin. This helps me greatly. When erect my penis has red blood capillaries visible at the Base of the glans. Also the skin is waxy /shiny .

Can anyone tell me if all the symptoms will disappear with time. And what sort of a time scale am I looking st for a full recovery ? Or am I stuck with these side effects. All good , honest advice appreciated.

Anyone given steroid creams for something similar I suggest you do not use. All in all I guess I used this cream for 5 days,  then had a few days break. Then used them again for 7 days. Then a break for a couple or few weeks. I'd used it liberally for those 12 days. Didn't realise what I was doing. After the 2 to 3 weeks break only using occasionally I then decided to try to fix it by using it for one more week. Applied twice a day and only a small amount and where it was originally needed. Was used in conjunction with an anti fungal cream.

Anyway. I've stopped using it now. And has cut down on masturbation and if I do I use a lube. Which helps greatly. So my question is. Will my penis skin return to normal. And how long will it take.  Or am I stuck with this affliction for the rest of my life. Thanks.

Please excuse typos.  Should say penis  glans.  Not prison glans. Wrote on my phone. Be grateful for any advice . Way forward is less masturbtion an use lube when I do. Unfortunately no sex until problem is rectified also. I will keep adding to this post as I feel it may help many others.

Update. Went to drs.  He said all looks normal. Haven't read many articles on here I find that hard to believe . I was prescribed miconazole cream. All this will do is ensure the area is clean. He said 2 weeks should all be fine. Fingers crossed but I reckon I'll be waiting a good while longer than that for things to return to normal. I used about 14 g from the tube of hydrocortisone cream. Over a period of about 3 to 4 weeks possibly but with a week off in between about 4 treatments. Fingers crossed but I feel I'll be waiting anything up to 2 years for the glans to rethicken.  Dr confirmed this is the case with some people. Be careful with steroid cream guys and girls. Never use it more than 7 days.

Began using in feb 16 I mean.  Also I had been prescribed a tube of this poison a year prior for contact dermatitis.  That worked but silly old me kept the tube and used occasionally not realising what it does.
Update. It's been 2 weeks since I last used this cream. If I masturbate I use lube. This works well. I've noticed the redness has become less. All the pigmentation of my skin is better. As described before. My Dr prescribed thrush cream. I guess this helped lubricate the area for the two weeks I've been using it. Also stop any infections. Those two weeks are nearly up so another Dr visit is required.  I'll be asking for something to help hel the area and rethicken the skin. Also to keep the area moisturised. Fingers crossed. More updates to follow.

It now nearly 3 weeks since I last used this cream one last time. But overall about 3 weeks fully. Tissue is an update for anyone in the same situation. Don't panic as I have seen improvement.  The driver prescribed daktacourt thrush type cream. Will post the official title later. Until I stop using this cream  (It lubes the area and stays there for a day or two after ) for a couple of days I cannot give a more accurate description . When I have stopped I've noticed wrinkled skin and a band of red where I used it more.
When I masturbate I continue to use lube and will do so until fully healed . When erect I notice the same capillaries around the edge of the helmet.  Once plus point is that the redness I had is getting less thankfully.  A sure sign of healing. I also notice occasional peeling but this may be due to the cream dissipating when not used for  day.
I think my Dr was going to suggest using some more of the steroid cream but not a chance . Once I've finished with this cream (Friday ) I plan to visit the Dr again and seeks further assistance. Possibly an aqueous wash for the shower and non aloe hypergenic moisturiser to keep it free from friction so the area is no irritated.  The driver suggested vaseline last time but we'll see.

From all the stuff I've read on here. It's obvious I've thinned the skin on my glans and also the skin sheath that covers it. The sheath when pulled back seems thinner and pink.  It wasn't like this before . I'm also hoping a Dr, or three reads this and comments and advises.
The plan for me is to finish this anti fungal cream Friday.  See Dr Monday.  And find a moisturiser to help rethicken and nourish the area hopefully.  If anyone else is going through this ;I hope these logs are helping you. Relax , be calm , be grateful for what you have and be patient. I've read the skin takes 27 days to build back up. However I think that refers to a cut. But the same principle must surely apply but at a slower rate after using steroid cream. Please please please read the instructions. I wish I had !

It may take a couple of years for the skin to rethicken and heal. I plan to masturbate less or try to ! Sex isn't an option for now lol. Even if I wanted to. You need a partner for that ! Anyway. At first it was tough to deal with but if you're in the same situation have faith. And be patient. Next update next week.

I am also uncircumcised too so I'm hoping the fact the area is covered will help it heal more. Like a cut inside the mouth. But I also realise this area gets some friction with retraction of the foreskin. Hence why I will use lube for masturbation,  and moisturiser when going about my business. Also I will try vitamin e capsules. Snip the end of these capsules and squeeze the contents on to the glans. I've used this before but the went back to steroid cream like an idiot.

Not moisturiser.  I mean I've been using daktacourt micanozola nitrate. This kept the area wet and aided healing by stopping friction and also keeping the area clean. Next step is now to see the Dr tomorrow hopefully.  I will post what they say to use.

Didn't use vitamin e  capsules. Always best to check with Dr first. Went to Dr's and saw the nurse there. She prescribed me anti fungal for a red area at the base of my glans . This was where I used hydrocortisone 1% cream for 7 days. Stupidly of course. Anyway. I have been prescribed colotomazole 1% . I'll put the proper name on here when I check it on the box. For the rest of my glans I was given e45 cream. This was to moisturise and replenish the dry skin. Also she asked me if the redness was burning.  I said it has done but then fully not now. So be careful with this cream !

She also assured me that skin regenerates itself and this issue will heal. She said skin regenerates itself and it will return to its normal state. Thickness etc. Dead skin cells are replaced by new skin cells. And not to worry myself. Also I can continue to have sex and masturbate if required but to use lube.  I'm abstaining from sex til I feel confident and masturbating less but it was great to hear these confident words.

So all of you who are worried. Don't be. Relax. I used hydrocortisone 1% for 4 to 5 weeks. Also occasionally for roughly a year. Very occasionally. Yes. I've damaged my skin but skin repairs itself. Take no notice of negative comments on here. Be patient , be brave and keep in touch with your Dr or nurse or dermatologist. And stop using the hydrocortisone also . The sooner. The better.  Some have said it'll return to its former thickness . The nurse also confirmed this. The Dr too. I believe it will be I also believe it takes time dependent on your own anatomy. And how u treat it during the healing process. I reckon keeping in touch with your Dr or whoever is providing he treatment is a must. Next appointment next week. I hope this is helping some of you experiencing the same problem.

Also. The nurse I saw said she would not prescribe hydrocortisone 1% cream for the groin area. Can't give u any further updates except I did see some improvement on my foreskin cover thing. The hood for the helmet.  But can't be sure yet. Moisturiser and anti fungal let it heal though. So happy with current progress.

Haven't used the cream for nearly 48 hours. The redness has nearly disappeared thankfully.  Skin is looking better. Still some red dots visible . Under the skin. But looking a lot better. Using lube if masturbating helps protect the area so it seems. It's four and a half weeks since I used it. Defo noticing improvements . Dr's again a week Monday.  Will update if further improvement is noticed.  Keep strong guys. If this has happened to you then don't worry.  I've been assured all will return to normal.

Update. Didn't use the e45 and clotamarozole cream for about 2 and a half days. Things have improved for sure. However , without the creams the deteriorated somewhat. Became dry in areas again and a bit of redness was there again. The foreskin also stuck to the glans a little still. So. As a result. I've decided to use the cream again til Friday.  Dr's appointment Monday so will leave off the cream from Saturday til Monday.  Overall though , things have improved but not as fat as I would of liked. The skin is fragile. Wrinkles a little at Base of glans and is still healing. I expect this to take a while but I've also read that hydrocortisone 1% cannot cause permanent damage. I've set myself a target of April 2017 which will be two years after I used the product ; for things to return to normal. You guys be careful with that **** if using it in delicate areas. It's changed my life somewhat but be strong and have faith. It WILL heal. Just takes a while.
You will experience depression also so try to avoid alcohol as this make depression worse. Also it depletes the skin of nutrients.
5 weeks since using hydrocortisone and I've noticed the redness get less . The skin still feels tender and fragile and marks easy. Foreskin can level marks also. Also red dots underneath the skin. It's a nightmare but it will get better. And definitely no more hydrocortisone ever again.
Avatar universal
Latest update. I'll be brief.  Masturbated for the first time without lube in a while yday.  Skins feels stronger. No cracks or blood. Skin feels less tender thankfully. Haven't used any of the clotoramozole 1% or e45 for 36 hours. Have noticed some dry skin reappering without e45 and the foreskin is thicker and less pink than before. Slow improvements but definitely getting there. The foreskin is catching a little on the glans but not as much as before.
Dr appointment Monday to further discuss recovery treatment for this issue. Still a little redness at Base of glans. Can flare up after masturbating.
Lube has been a great help. I'm also abstaining from sex for about 6 months so I don't scar the glans.  Maybe longer if need be. Because rheumatoid skin is fragile and thinned out from hydrocortisone 1% I keep seeing the impression of my foreskin on it. The ring at the end of the foreskin.  Also when I Masturbate I try to keep the skin away from the head of the penis to also avoid friction.
Next update Monday.

Saw Dr.  Give me clotoramozole 2% cream. Happy with my improvements. Says things will return to normal. He said red dots under skin are a rash and will go. Says he doesn't need to see me again. Have been instructed to use the whole tube unless rash disappears before. Said everything would return to normal.  Takes 4 to 6 weeks. Explained it was already 6 weeks since I used the cream. He said it will return to normal. Fingers crossed. Skin needs to rethicken now.
Yeah skin needs to rethicken for sure.  Nearly 7 week since I used the cream last. Looking a lot better but can't tell fully yet as the clotamazole cream masks it a little.  Masturbated again today. Didn't use no lube first time. No problem. Second time the skin began to look like it had thin wrinkly paper on it. Reverted back to lube to save any damage.  Will check again in another month without lube. It'll take a while to rethicken I guess. One good thing is that the blood capillaries have gone from where they were before. But are appearing elsewhere on the glans.  When people give you the cream they should warn you not to use it long.

Please excuse typos. I certainly don't want to be fat !!! Typo's galore. Sorry people. We has stated. Masturbated  a couple of times and no problem.  However skin is still thin as a wrinkled paper effect started showing if I wasn't fully erect.
This to me means the top layer of skin is still thin.
Next appointment is with the nurse. She's much more helpful and caring. That'll be mid June so bare with me til then. Continuing to use the clotomazole 2% until the tube is finished. Also e45 on dry areas if needed.
I want to ask the nurse a few questions. Such as why is the skin like crinkled paper after a while when masturbating.  Be strong people. It's a patience game.

Ok.  So today means it's been 7 weeks since this cream ruined my life . Hopefully only temporarily.  Nurse and Dr both said it will eventually return to normal.
I have another appointed booked in June.  Hydrocortisone is thankfully only a mild steroid cream. But it still thinned my skin. Slow improvements on the foreskin and glans have happened but the skin is still thin but better than it was (I think lol) .
Anyway . It's been 7 weeks since I last used it.  Like a fool. I used it twice after this date also. But let's just say 7 weeks today.

No answers on this post yet but I hope this is helping at least one person out there.

So this where we were 7 weeks ago. Very dry skin. Red spots everywhere under the skin. A very sore burnt looking mark at the bottom of my glans from concentrating application on that area for a week. I used to get wrinkly skin when my Lewis was soft but I don't know. When erect I got capillaries around the base and rim of my glans. Severe redness at the base of my glans and red shiny skin.

7 weeks on I have seen improvements . The foreskin is less pink and has thickened a bit and sticks to the glans less.  Also the capillaries have gone from the base of the glans but have appeared elsewhere on the glans. The redness is a lot less thankfully but still a little apparent. When erect the head of the penis  can be wrinkly if not fully erect but when fully erect the wrinkles disappear.
The skin has also be come less fragile but is still thin. But better than it was.
Next update will be a week. One tip I can give is see your Dr or nurse. They'll give you anti fungal cream no doubt but this will help the area heal and stop friction . Lube will help stop friction if you masurbate too. It seems to help anyway.

Oh. Just to state. The wrinkled skin appeared when erect because I tried to masurbate without Lube.  To test if things were getting better. 3rd time without it began to crinkle. So definite improvements. At one point the skin cracked send blood appeared. Lube helps.

Be strong. See your Dr or nurse. A good one who's interested in helping you. And it will eventually regenerate.  Some people say it can take 6 months. Others say 2 to 3 years. I guess it all depends on how long you used it for. This is a mild steroid cream so believe it will get better. I'm abstaining from sex for about 9 months. Not through choice ! See you all in a week.
I mean at one point before these 7 weeks the skin had cracked and bled.  That was sore and thin was ultra thin. Thankfully it has improved. It's a messed up situation but things have improved. Skin hasnt cracked or bled since. I think the skin is getting a little thicker but without lube it would of constantly cracked.
Avatar universal
OK.  We're 8 weeks in since I used this cream on the top of my glans and guess some went on my foreskin too.anyway , quick update. Used the 2 % clotamazole cream for about a week I guess. Laid off it for 2 to 3 days atm.  Masturbated all was fine. Excessively so a little sore atm  . But more raw. Than sore. And the skin looks much better. Didn't use lube at first and no problem. The skin seems to of thickened some more. No plastic bag effect from thinned skin when not quite fully erect.

Decided to use lube to stop any damage as I plan to continue using lube for a while yet. So. The skin is much better . Couple of mark here and there.  A red mark where it once bled also. Couple of crinkles every now an then.
Also a groove where foreskin can be. The ring of it. The skin is still rethickening and this may take up to two years or more.

So don't be despondent all you people out there. Have faith.  It seems  like it's all regenerating but I'll abstain from sex  for a while longer. Foreskin much better. Returning to normal colour. Sticking to top of glans less. Glans is not so tender anymore or fragile but care is still required.

Don't ever give up people.  Next update next week. All looks pretty normal when left alone but if I've masturbated excessively it can look a little raw but it did before so that's expected. But not as much so. Needs more time. Week 9 next week. Keep strong.

Thanks for the update.  This is happening to me and I am using organic coconut oil after showers and throughout the day.  I will use lube to masturbate but keep it at a minimum.  I was going to go to go to the emergency room but I will continue to do this as I already see improvement after 1 week.

Ok.  Thanks for your comment. Let me update you first. It's now 9 weeks in. I was using clotamazole 2%. Have an appointment on Monday so stopped using it to see where I am so I can ask nurse for further assistance.

Haven't used the clotamazole 2% for 3 days now. Have noticed that it kind of paints the glans white and hides the skin issue. But it had improved so don't get despondent if you're in the same situation. Without using this cream the area isn't lubricated. So now the foreskin is again sticking to the Base of the glans but no way near as much as it was.

Also the skin isn't as good as it was whilst using the clotamazole 2% cream. There are areas of red but much less. At the Base.  Also the foreskin ring at the end is marking the glans.  This can show up in 3 places.  This means the skin is still thinned but the feel of it is better. I presume it is slowly regenerating and I hope it continues to do so !

Anyway. That is where I am at , at the present time. Much better than 9 weeks ago but still much more time required.  This is my advice. If u masturbate ; use lube. Find a professional of some sort who seems to care.

I was told to use vaseline  to lubricate the area. The person who has helped me told me that's too greasy for down there. They gave me e45 for dry areas and clotamazole 1% for red area. This helped lubricate and rehydrate the area and stop further damage.  Or help it heal faster.

I think this advice helps heal by stopping further damage. I have an appointment Monday so will add to this and see what they say.

Also. For the dude who has experienced the same issue. Thanks for your response.  I'll contact u on here . What has happened to you ? What did u use etc. This cream should come with extreme warnings labelled on it. We're patients ! Not professionals in the medical field ! The person who has helped me so far said they wouldn't even prescribe hydrocortisone 1% for the groin area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pgh.  Thanks for your response.  Please do let me know your situation.  I too bought coconut oil but haven't used it. Decided I'd put enough of duff on there down there without medical advice. You're one week in. Don't be despondent or upset. Other people have made this mistake.  They have recovered. But it can take time. One bloke said it's been two years but it has rethickened a lot an no one else will notice the difference. Except you. Only permanent things are a few wrinkles apparently. Let us know your story dude. My story is being wrote as I go along with all creams being used.

Stuff* please excuse typos. Writing this on my phone.

Also. Without using the clotamazole 2% I tried to madturbate today.  It's been 3 days without. The plastic bag effect on my glans came back.  Guess the skin is rethickened and this is jus part of the process. So to stop any damage I reverted back to lube. As I'd tried to madturbate without lube. And had tried with my skin pulled back too. Guess I'm not fixed yet. This takes time. When using clotamazole it hides this plastic bag effect I guess. Maybe it's just me as I wasn't fully erect .
Avatar universal
Anyway. Last week no plastic bag effect at all but I was fully erect. I use pills for that lol. So maybe I'm just different there. But it seems to be the skin is rethickening and I'm just going through phases of that.  I shall post once I've seen the professional I'm seeing. My advice is . Relax. Be patient. Be strong minded. And find a professional who wants to help. Not somebody who doesn't care as I have experienced too. Also. I must add. I haven't really changed my masturbation habits. Which are quite frequent.  Although first few weeks I did it only once a week or so. Overall.  Big improvements but it's a long road so it seems. But you will get better and so will I! !!

I was also told I could continue masturbation and sex but I'm. Abstaining from sex for a while unfortunately.  And lubeing when masturbating.  No sex for a while.
Ok.  Update. Went to see a professional. They told me hydrocortisone 1% damage is temporary.  Not permanent. Can take up to 6 months to heal . All will return to normal. Things have improved a lot but I guess it's a slow process. Haven't used clotamozole for 6 days now and things are much better. However , I will use again for a couple of weeks starting tonight or tomorrow. Until the tubes run out. After 2% clotomazole I'll use up the 1 % cartons I have . Then see where I am.
Professional said to come back in a couple of weeks. She could see the thinned skin where the foreskin was leaving a ring like mark. The end of the foreskin ring presses in to the skin. This can leave 3 marks sometimes. They also seem to think the red dots under my skin are thrush.

When I use the creams they disappear so maybe I get reinfected due to poor skin. So definitely I will use this cream for a while. Also. I was told if it isn't cleared up in a couple of weeks to make another appointment and an appointment with a dermatologist would be made.

I've decided I'll use this cream for a few months. Til 6 months has elapsed. Then if it's not right I'll book another appointment.

So. Overall. I've been told recovery is 3 months. Max 6 months.  I've read online it can take a couple of years.  But we'll see. Life is on hold sexually for a while.

Also. This isn't permanent.  Hydrocortisone 1% damage is temporary.  Relax people and treat it well. Also mentioned the plastic bag effect. This is the skin thickening and bonding. Next update a week or so as this is nearly 10 weeks. Keep strong.
1% clotomazole that should say !!!!
Clotrimazole 1% & 2% creams. Sorry guys.  I did say I'd eventually get the right names on here. Basically.  Here's an update. These creams fix my thrush problem I guess. I have red dots under the surface.  And a red area shows up when erect where I used the cream in one area for a while. All is much better thankfully.  Hydrocortisone 1% cream damage isn't permanent.  But it does take a while to recover  I guess I keep getting thrush because my skin is or was so thin. Still repairing.  If I use Clotrimazole it clears this but then it comes back. No sex for me for a while.  I could use the cream and lie when sex comes along but I'd rather not risk damage to the thickening skin. Now using the Clotrimazole 2% cream to treat the thrush  I will continue to do so now until I run out of it then see where I am.
We're now 10 weeks in to recovery.
Things are much better but skin isn't rethickened and I keep getting thrush due to the thin skin. Much better and didn't use clotrimazole for a week. I could carry on but I've reverted back to clotrimazole 2% . Sorry to mention the different creams so much but I don't want any of u making any mistakes like I did.
Overall. 10 weeks in. Much improved. Foreskin is thicker.  Less pink. Doesn't catch as much on the glans.  It did at one point! Glans looks much better too. It was thinned. That's for sure. The layers are rebuilding. Assured it will all return to normal. With my progress I believe this advise.
10 weeks in. Or 9 and a half anyway.  Used it twice after. Like a fool. Anyway. Now we have reoccurrences of thrush. Red dots under the skin. This will go away with thickening of the skin and clotrimazole I'm sure. Think about it. If the skin is thin how can it keep away infection. I'll now use clotrimazole 2 % . Then the clotrimazole. 1% til I run out. Leave it a while and see what happens.
You'll be fine lads. Relax. You've messed up like I did but it'll come back. Patience.

Hey man whats up??  Thanks for the updates.  I'm not sure if its thinned skin or just an overall skin infection due to the yeast..I will say that I used the Ketoconazole (antifungal) and hydrocortisone for about two weeks until one morning after I applied the steroid on my penis it started to burn intensely and I immediately wash it off.  Ive been using the coco nut oil religiously after showers and during the day as needed.  After a week 1/5 of not using the ketoconazole and just coconut oil..as of last Friday it looked like the yeast came back with a vengeance.  I went to emergency room bc it was intensely itching all day.  He said to use the Keto and don't EVER put a steroid cream on my groin.  I'm a week in and it is much better however the itching is there once I have underwear on during the day.  Also I notice that in the bottom part of my shaft gets insanely itchy when I am lifting heavy weights??  Not sure why that is but it seems to happen when I'm exerting myself or what not.  Did you have any of these issues and how are you dealing with the itching from time to time or is this part of the healing process?  I feel like this may be contact dermatitis because my balls itch as well after having underwear on all day..  so confused with this ****.  I have another appointment July 6 and 14 for update but I need this to be gone asap.  Like you, no sex and I've masturbated a few times however the lube seem to burn my skin to the point I had to wash it off and not get off.  So I got a more hypoallergenic water based lube and will try that tonight as I am not scabbing at all at the moment.  Good news that yours is improving as I think I still need a true diagnosis at this point.  Thanks and look forward to your response.  Thanks

Hello dude.  I'm good thanks. Hope you're ok too. I'll reread your issue and see if I can help. I've not suffered much itching at all. If any. What I got was thinned skin . Major redness where I applied it in on area trying to fix thinned skin.  Also wrinkled skin. Capillaries where they wasn't showing before and depression due to obvious reasons. And also losing my Mrs in the process.

Anyway this is 10 weeks in and much improved.   Did you use the hydrocortisone 1% on a large area or just a small amount ??? I used about a tube of the cream on and off for about 4 weeks. Week on week off. I keep getting thrush now due to the thinned skin so I presume that will go as it thickens. Up to two years !!!!clotrimazole clears it but it comes back.

I'm not exactly sure what's happened to you. 2 weeks would of thinned the skin a little but definitely reversible I would think. Anti fungal cream can be used for 6 months and doesn't cause damage . Hydrocortisone 1% should be used no more than a 1 week . I haven't had any itching at all but I do get yeast infections.  I would say you're getting yeast infections also because the skin has thinned a bit. I've been assured hydrocortisone 1% cannot cause permanent damage and all will return to normal.  It can take a while though unfortunately.  I've set myself a date of April 18 to be 100 % back 5o normal again.

Do things that make you happy and keep strong. You'll figure it out. Avoid hydrocortisone cream down below.  I too was told that hydrocortisone 1% shouldn't be used down there; by a different professional. So let me know where u used it and how much you used ????

Hey man..I used it on the bottom half of my shaft of penis when I had a yeast infection sometimes up the whole left side of shaft but I was always cautious and have used it on and off over the past year.  Didn't really use much of the tube as I got lots left, however I will never use again down there.  I'm glad things are getting better for you!  I may have a little thinning as it does feel slightly different feeling on the side where I used it versus the side I did nothing on.  Yes..I think the itching is do to the yeast as I am using the ketoconazole until Friday which will be two weeks.  I will keep you updated.
Ah. I see. If u didn't use much of the tube you'll be fine. I used 15 grammes . Near enough the whole tube . What a fool . Here's my full story. From what you have told me , you'll be fine. Don't he hydrocortisone 1% down there or you'll be in my situation.  Some people have used it all over their Penistone and it's thinned the skin out all over. I used it on my glans. My best feature tbh with you lol. I lost my gf and got loads of psychological issues 2hn it first started.  Wasn't nice.

You were wise not to use too much of the steroid cream. If I were you I'd just throw it out. The anti fungal will help you out. If you haven't used Uchida steroid cream you'll be fine. Here's my story.

Ok.  Here's my story. Very brief overview.  Got a red mark on my glans. Mrs badgered me and was always watching everything.  Went clinic. They said it's nothing but try aqueous cream. I did. Got contact dermatitis.  Dr gave hydrocortisone 1% cream. Warned me about overuse. It fixed the problem. Every time I got any red marks down there I was paranoid of Mrs and would use the cream. This was during 2015. Never more than a few times did I use it. Used most of tube over the year. I now know the red marks I began to notice must of been thinning skin.
Mrs again giving me grief. Went Dr he gave me anti fungal and hydrocortisone 1%  cream. I used for a few days. All fine.  Had sex. Used it again stupidly
There was confusion with the Dr when initially gave the cream.  I thought I had to use it all. Next I noticed whole glans as red after sex.  Also foreskin was peeling. I used again like an idiot. But thankfully stopped. Next I masturbated after a few days rest but the glans went three quarters red. I wasn't using lube at this point. Master bated again a few times over the week. Cue. A nightmare.

The skin cracked and bled due to being so weak and thin. You can imagine how I felt. Tried vitamin e capsules on the area. I noticed transparent plastic bag style skin down there in one area . So stupidly I used pea sized amounts of hydrocortisone 1% on that area thinking it would fix it. Major redness then showed up.

Luckily I read up about the cream. The realisation of what I'd done nearly tilled me over the edge. At the same time my Mrs left me. So here I as with mega thin skin and red spots. And a red area at the Base of the glans.  Also pink foreskin that was thinking and would stick to the glans. All because I listened to a crazy woman and wanted to keep her. Truth is. There was no problem.

So from Jan 2015 til Jan 2016 I used a cream that had both mixed in. Fixed contact dermatitis but used every now and then after for a year. This caused  little damage but nothing compared to what was to come. Jan 2016 I was prescribed hydrocortisone 1% with anti fungal. Confusion with Dr.  Used it all bar a gramme for about 28 days on and off. Thankfully it wasn't any longer than that but damage was done. Luckily I'm now 11 weeks down the line. Using lube when masturbating let it continue to heal. As well as the symptoms above I also had a plastic bag effect when erect that would disappear when fully erect. At the start I used to get this when soft too. All I have now is red dots under threat skin . Apparently a rash. Fungal.  Due to thin skin I reckon. And red capillaries that show up. The skin has healed well and also the foreskin. I've set myself a target of April 2018 . 2 years on. To be 100 % again. I don't expect it to be the same as it was but I expect full functionality and no one to notice any difference. I'm lucky I didn't use it more than I did.

Please excuse typo's.  Uchida was meant to say 'much*'. Anyway. Dude . You may of thinned your skin a little but so long as you don't use the steroid cream down there again you'll be fine I reckon.  I wished I'd stopped as soon as my glans starting turning red. The skin was starting to thin.  So yes. Stop using it which u have  it may of thinned as skin in that area rubs against other skin making the cream penetrate the skin more. If I were you'd I'd keep using the anti fungal and be patient  it'll heal up.

And that kind for your kind words. Much appreciated. I'm 11 weeks in nearly . In another 11 all may be back to normal. I've heard that striae  are the only permanent thing that remains. But I've also been told all will return to as it was before. Striae if I've spelt it wrong is like wrinkles or grooves left on the skin but I'll have to recheck and no one really notices except yourself apparently.

Hi I was wondering if we could get an update. It has really helped me to read ypur stories and also wondering if anyone has used Dr Fukaya lotion with 2% 50 to 100 Daltons.  I have a similar problem and would like to hear if anyone has used it and if it reversed their skin atrophy. Thanks
