I have brownish/purple dots on scrotum. Consistent with angiokeratoma. Help!!!

Good day,

I noticed randomly the other day some small brownish/dark purple spots on the underside of my penis/where the scrotum begins hanging from the base of the penis. There are about a dozen of brown spots, all about 1-3mm in diameter each, and appear on the left side of my scrotum in the spot I described.

I have been looking all over the internet and have read stuff about HPV, herpes, and angiokeratoma. I’m really freaking out!

Some more info on the symptoms:

Not at all itchy. No bleeding whatsoever. They appear mostly in the hair follicles/ next to the little white bumps all around my scrotum (I understand these to be very normal little bumps when white. I have them everywhere and always have). The bumps are consistent with the layout of my capillaries when I stretch the skin; my capillaries right under the scrotal skin seem to disperse in random directions, and the bumps like to hang out right over some of these capilarries. I’m unable to pop these, and have read about some people bleeding quite a bit from it (since angiokeratoma- means “over vessels”, I’m not surprised they would bleed if they had angiokeratoma). I have not noticed any sort of growth to these. They also appear right under the surface of the skin. What I mean by that is that they don’t have a cauliflower like appearance; when I shine a light on it, the light stays shiny over all my skin, and it’s like the brown spots are directly beneath the skin.

Please help me out, because I’m freaking myself out!!! Thank you!

If these are not itching, hurting, or growing in size, it doesn't sound like they are anything to really worry about.

Your best bet for an accurate diagnosis is to have a doctor take a look at them and gather a little more medical history information- so if you are still concerned, head over to your doctor.
