I have red splotches on my face. Can anyone help me figure out what it is?

I don't think it's Rosacea. I don't think it's Keratosis Pilaris, because I have that on my arms and it's not bumpy. On my face the redness stays.  I had a dermatologist try to treat me with rosacea meds.  The creams just made my face tingle with a little soreness or just got redder.  It never clears up.  I don't think it's food related. I have been told it's probably hormonal in which case no cream would work.  Any ideas? I started early menopause around the same time and had gained a lot of weight, so hormonal imbalance would sound about right, but is there any way to find out? I don't have insurance, so going to a dermatologist is out of the question for now.
