IS THIS ECZEMA??

MY 8 MONTH OLD HAD HIS FIRST FLARE UP WITH "ECZEMA"  ( HASNT BEEN CONFIRMED YET BY A DERMATOLOGIST) WHEN HE WAS 2 1/2 MONTHS OLD. ALL OVER HIS BODY AND FACE. HIS BODY CLEARED UP BUT THE ONLY PLACE THAT HE BREAKS OUT NOW IS HIS FACE. BUT ITS NEVER GOTTEN THIS BAD. ANY OPINIONS OR SUGGESTIONS HOW TO MAKE IT CLEAR UP??

I moisturize daily but as inflamed and as itchy as it looks it doesn't look like it bothers him. Right now  using aquaphor. And it seems like its helped a bit. I'm just hoping this passes. Thank you so much for responding.

The picture is typical of atopic dermatitis.Itching would be a predominant Moisturizing the skin is a must. External application of mild potency steroid creme is best done with your doc's advice.While recurrences are common the child would outgrow the condition soon.
